View Full Version : Neverending Dungeon - Bill

The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a fairly spacious, rectangular room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, two torches are already lit and resting in brackets, one by each of the doors.

I spend my first turn flexing to myself in suggestive mannerisms.

Flint and steel to light hooded lantern, hang it by my belt, wield quarterstaff with one hand leaving the other open.

General search of the room

Given nothing of value or interest I will head towards A-1 and do another search of the door.

"And to say the blind-fight would help with the not having to see."

Either way, I will poke at the door and try to push it open with my quarterstaff.

Tanaric
2009-11-10, 09:36 PM
As you poke the door with your weapon, several hundred lines of crackling blue energy appear, surrounding the door and much of the adjacent wall in a spiderweb pattern. The energy leaps from the door to your weapon, giving it quite a shock.

The previously hidden copper wires are now visible as thin black marks on the door, which they have charred quite thoroughly.

Your quarterstaff takes 1 electric damage. Half, then hardness, reduces that to 0 easily.

I will proceed to opening the door and taking a look outside.

To the west, the corridor goes for twenty-five feet before turning to the south.

You fail to note the tripwire laying in your path five feet from the door you came out of, and as your foot catches it, the sound of stone grinding on stone fills the air. It lasts for perhaps a minute before fading away.

Well poop.

Alrighty, I shant be doing any more search checks. Maybe when this character dies I'll make it search happy rather than spot happy.

Move half-speed crouching. Hoping any horizontal dart traps or wall-axes will be above him. Standing when in front of the door.

Otherwise I'm doing the same thing.

At the north-south split, the hall continues north for fifteen feet before ending in a door. To the south, the hall continues for twenty feet before turning to the east.

Five feet before the door, there is an east-running hall connected to the one you're in.

Elf 3 5-ft steps into E-7, blocking off the doorway, then tries to cut you open.

Spoilered for length:
Your punch staggers elf 3, but he doesn't fall. You killed elf 3.

Elf 1 tries to shoot you again.

Sorry again, I think I may just quit the dungeon, you're obviously too busy with all your other dungeons and I have a new campaign starting up by friday the latest. It was good practice for the forum roller and to get a feel for PbP.

Thanks again and if the popularity for Neverending dungeon dies down I may start it up again so we can play.
