there has been many emotional moments up above the clouds. from Roy being reunited with his family to someone carrying Juan's baby and is going to marry Philippe tommorow.

to discovering that you had a 22

however, dead people now have no limits, which many soon discover (postmortem Time Disassociation Disorder). but can they cry?
can they even retain water?

Celestials are not the spirits of the dead people in Celestia. They're outsiders of pure Law and Good.

And Roy cried in #496 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0496.html) so yes, the dead can cry.

Lantern Archons are both celestials and petitioners.

And Roy's Archon makes it clear that celestials in OoTS can progress.

Celestials are usually ascended mortal souls- and most D&D novels depict them as such.

If the Tavern of Infinite One-Night Stands is any indication, the plumbing works as long as the soul in question wants it to work.

Celestials can cry and depending why they cry, angel tears can either be a component for good or really evil spells
