Now, I don't like to be 'that guy', but I have to point out the obvious hidden meaning of the song lyrics that follow:

If you, if you could return
Dont let it burn, dont let it fade
Im sure Im not being rude
But its just your attitude
Its tearing me apart
Its ruining everything
And I swore, I swore I would be true
And honey so did you
So why were you holding her hand
Is that the way we stand
Were you lying all the time
Was it just a game to you

But Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

Oh, I thought the world of you
I thought nothing could go wrong
But I was wrong
I was wrong
If you, if you could get by
Trying not to lie
Things wouldnt be so confused
And I wouldnt feel so used
But you always really knew
I just wanna be with you

And Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to. do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

And Im in so deep
You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

You know Im such a fool for you
You got me wrapped around your finger
Do you have to let it linger
Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger

It seems apparent to me that this song is a direct artistic reference to flatuence. I mean, really.

The two can be very similar sometimes. :smalltongue:

Remind me never to sit next to you on a long car trip.

I have no clue how you got flatulence out of this, or what weird font you are using that your apostrophes show up as wingdings.

Only matters if he loves you.

Only matters if he loves you.

True enough. However there are some risks just not worth taking.

Alternatively, he could have eaten some beans that morning, and then kisses you.

It always amazed me that Weird Al never released a "Pull My Finger" parody of this song. It's so obvious, but I guess he just blew it on that one.

...

I'll get my coat.

I thought it was just a little self-irony of how this dreadful song never.. ever.. ends.

Come on, how are you guys not getting this. I mean 'Don't let it burn, don't let it fade'? 'I'm sure I'm not being rude... it's tearing me apart, it's ruining everything?'

I'm afraid I'm just going to have to agree with The Dude; that's your opinion. I comprehend your argument, but I don't think the song makes nearly as much sense as an extended fart joke as it does as a love song.

Because fart jokes arn't funny...and its clearly taking the song so far out of context that the joke is even -less- funny then your average Family Guy fart joke that..ya. Its just your opinion.

I got another meaning behind it that is of such an adult nature that I would be banned if I expressed it. Needless to say it is sexual in nature and has nothing to do with flatulence.

Ah, I see... no, I don't agree.
After all, if your interpretation were valid, why "don't let it fade"? Heck, open the window!

Wow, 1991 called, they want their old, old, OLD, tired, not-even-that-funny-back-then joke back.
