So any information on this? I find this idea of a barbarian pretty nifty

It looks cool. It's not broken either.

You get one-handed weapons in the offhand. There are also powers that have 1 attack roll to deal main & off-hand weapon damage.

Comparing to Howling Strike with an Executioner's Axe to the new build's At-Will with 2 Waraxes, that's 1d12 brutal 2 + 1d6 vs 2d12. Average 11 vs 13 with a max of 18 vs 24 and a min of 4 vs 2. Not ridiculously better, but cool.

Flavor's nice too.

No, it's in Primal Power. DDI doesn't get it until tomorrow.

Primal Power. It's 'I bought a book' only ;)

Some of the powers seem to me like it'd make sense to have a +3 proficiency weapon in the main hand and a big, brutal +2 in the off-hand (eg craghammer)

Is this 4.0? 'cause nothing warned me 'til I read the responses.

If 3.5 you need pounce (good thing you are a barb, you can swap you're +10 movement for it), otherwise you can't use 3 feats worth of abilites if you move more than 5 feet.

It's 4e, it is indeed both new, shiny, and in primal power.

It also means you can be a Halfling, Gnome, Goblin or even Kobold Barbarian now with no homebrewing required.

I was thinking "Primal", but have typed the phrase "Martial Power" so much more often... Muscle reflex.

Could anyway thanks to the power in the PHB-minis pack.

Yarp. That's how to do it. I say: Triple-Headed Flail and Craghammer.

Keep in mind, most powers are "Attack roll vs. Enemy A. Main [W] on enemy A, offhand [W] on Enemy b, who must be adjacent to you.

So, wait, does that mean you can hit the high-AC BBEG as enemy B by instead making an attack roll vs the low-AC minion A standing nearby?
