anyone who is willing, just post who your favorite OOTS character is. I will tally this and make a table on the percents. Thanks!

Sewblon

1. :belkar: because he is so out of place and oblivious, and like The Giant said in the FAQ, this story is about the trouble the characters get into, and I think we have seen Belkar get into more trouble than any of the other characters.
2. :vaarsuvius: because he/she has deep character flaws but is also committed to overcoming them.

Honorable mentions. I like Haley, but she is a little too self-aware for me, by which I mean allot of her dialogue sounds like things readers who are deconstructing the plot should say, not the actual characters. Xykon is very entertaining to read about, but his character is pretty inconsistent, In SoD he makes it a point to dominate Redcloak(not with magic and not sexually) three times, but since then Redcloak usually wins when they argue.

I think it's more likely he just doesn't care. When Xykon does start caring, such as over his phylactory, he gets scary fast.

I'm going to have to vote Durkon, followed by Miko.
Durkon is consistently the funniest character in the Order, his jokes never fall flat and he doesn't get overbearing. He is genuinely interesting and is the cornerstone of the party. I only hope he gets more character development soon.
Miko, because she is the most engaging character we've seen so far. You either love her or hate her, but everyone has an opinion.
Celia would have to be number three. While she would be impossible to play with, I have to applaud her for sticking with her values. Which is more then anyone else save Durkon, Hinjo and O-Chul can claim.

1) Roy. I like the hero of the story what can I say.
2) Elan. Just as a person he is the one I would like to meet the most. He is chipper, silly, and endlessly optimistic. As a person I love him (though as a source of humour he is often not the best as I don't enjoy laughing at him for being stupid).
3) Miko, purely on the strength of the character and characterisation. Hate her as a person but the character is about as interesting and detailed as I have read anywhere.

So this is a 3 way tie for all the characters mentioned. Oh well.

I like it when a story establishes a character's personality so so eloquently, lets you know them so well you can practically see the gears turning in their head in any situation. Haley and Roy are similarly complex characters but to me they feel more distant. Plus, I love poignant character development, so nothing said. :D

Xykon would be a close third, both for his personality and for how his personality is shown. When you stop and think about his actions, you come to chilling and astounding realisations. A possible contributing factor is that pretty much ALL of the strips involving Xykon have focused on the way he influences the world around him rather than on himself. His character is thus developed passively rather than actively, and for a Big Bad villain like him, it seems fitting to make him more tangible and deep subtly and gradually rather than throwing it into your face.

Of the Order... I'd say Vaarsuvius, although I find Roy quite interesting actually as being an intelligent fighter. And though he's not my favourite in the order I do find Elan amusingly sympathetic.

However in the entire comic my hands down favourite character is easily Xykon.
