okay. Due to lack of classes in Pathfinder I like I've decided to play a Sorceror. Plus there's the fact that bloodlines sound awesome. I was wondering if anybody could help me with optimizing? I don't want to overpower the character I just want my character to be competent which might not be possible If I make it myself. I've never played an Arcane class. I kind of want to take the Dragon disciple PRC if that helps.

Is there anything I should know about making a Pathfinder sorceror?

Stat choices are 17, (going in charisma) 15 2 14s and 2 13s. Anything else I should post?

Everyone will point out that Dragon Disciple isn't very good.

Which bloodline are you looking at because that will have a large affect on what sort of play style you will want to do.

Pathfinder Dragon Disciple is neat if you want to take a more physical role in combat.

I was actually just building a sorcerer and found these guides to be very helpful.

Minstrel's Take on God's Hot Sister (http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0Ae0QGAqQqqSpZGNicGM2eHRfM2R0ejVtN2d2&hl=en)
Ogre's (incomplete) Sorcerer Spell List (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/extras/community-creations/ogreslab/sorcerer-spell-selection)
Treantmonk's Wizard Guide (http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AcNyxDTKvAmqZGRtZzhzdjZfMTFmNXdwM2ZjeA&hl=en)

The last is most useful for the spell levels that Ogre doesn't cover.

my favorites are Abyssal, Abberant and Draconic although I like Abyssal and draconic the best.

I do want to take a more melee role in combat. That's why I wanted to take dragon disciple.

Though not specific to Pathfinder, this might be helpful: Solo's Stupendously Superior Sorcerer Stratagems (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2180.0)

No, that would be the 3.5 DD. The Pathfinder one is actually decent. The Pathfinder Assasin sucks now (it was okay in 3.5 as it had spells).

This is pretty irrelevant to the discussion, but that may be the best name for a guide ever.

If you are going to be a melee Sorcerer, Draconic is the second best bloodline, after Abyssal. That being said, with the boosts to stats you'll get from race and through (ultimately) Dragon Disciple, you can afford to skimp a bit on STR early on. Focus instead on keeping your DEX and CON high, because you'll be right there on the front line. You need the extra AC and HP.

While DD is a fascinating choice, thanks to Pathfinder, I stand by riding the single classed Sorcerer out right into the end game.

I personally think the Fey bloodline is the best out of them all. All of the abilities given are quite handy and useful, right up to 20th level. But then, I've always been partial to Enchantment spells..+2 DC to Lose or Nothing spells that stacks with Spell Focus is nothing to sneeze at.

Though Quicken Spell as an available bonus feat?...Unless you're playing with splatbooks open, that's pretty silly to have on the list, I think.

I personally am partial to the elemental bloodlines. I find the sorcerers make better blasters because of their fewer spells known but greater ability to cast them. That and the movement type can be very fun if you choose earth or air.

I move through the wall and ambush the goblins on the other side.
