Is Rich Burlew okay?

I saw a thread on /tg/ where someone who supposedly knew him IRL claimed he was in hospital for encephalitis as a result of a complication from swine flu; something that apparently has a 20% fatality rate. I don't know if it's true or not; I hope it isn't. Is he doing okay? I can't see any threads about it, and if it is true, I want to convey my sincere wishes for his recovery.

Rich has gone two weeks without posting before, and it's thanksgiving in the US anyway. If there was something seriously wrong, we'd probably have been told.
