Whenever I download something in Windows XP, it ALWAYS automatically dumps it into the damn Downloads folder. I HATE this. How can I tell it where to download stuff, please? I download stuff from academic sites a lot and need it to go into a lot of different folders all over my multiple hard drives, but I can't seem to find the control to tell where I want stuff to go. Please help! Thank you.
What browser are you using?
There should be an option in Tools>Options>Downloads to set a specific folder.
Otherwise, right-click and Save Target/Link As.
Or just sort things out after download...
