Hi playground,
I'm planning for a future session for my group a mission in which PC should:
1) sneak into a fortress. This fortress is currently base of an alerted army, so there shall be lots of patrols that must be avoided at all costs, since an alarm would result in overwhelming force.
2) Find the weak point in the structure and make it explode
3) Escape.

This is not a particularly original scenario, so I was wondering if there is any written module (available for free download) with a similar concept.
I'm a lousy mapmaker, so I'd gladly skip the dungeon design.

To this matter, does anyone know a repository of dungeons?

Thanks for the attention, Pasko

1. Go to local library.
2. Go to childrens section (try not to look like a creepy molester)
3. Find book of castles with pictures.
4. ???
5. Profit!

There are map generators online that you can use. Google D&D Map Generator, I'm sure you'll find something. On some you can customise the floor and tiles, and even add features. I used it once, before realised my party didn't like tactical battles and were more into roleplaying their way out of bad situations. I'd post a link if I hadn't removed the good ones from my favourites.

This one made me lol. :)
But I did not mean just the map, but a module saying how to avoid guards, where are treasures, etc., a premade adventure, if we want.

As for a how-to, just use your logic. Set up a guard-shift, a patrol route, and keep everything slightly flawed. Just set things up the way you would if you were defending against a sneaker, and then pepper it with some flaws here and there. Maybe there's a half-hour section of time where the magical alarms on the treasure chamber have to recharge? Or one of the guards is notorious for sleeping on the job? Or maybe the PCs can convince/coerce an NPC to work as an inside-man?

Thanks, the random generator will be useful. I'll think about some flaws in the guard shifts.

Bye, Pasko

Nice, thanks. The registration page is asking me if I was directed there by a forum member. Would you give me your nick there, so I can credit you?
Thanks.
