I haven't been playing to long and was wondering if i could get some pro tips in optimizing a wizard.

Completely open
any prestige classes
include spell specialization (if used)
Recommended spell list

Preferably a batman build (but world domination is always nice.)

Target level 15 (good median)

Just want to see the most badass builds this forum can crank out MUHAHAHAHAHAHA.....my DM's gonna hate me when i build a wiz next time XD

Broken at what, exactly?
Damage? Being batman? Taking over the world?

A target level would be nice.

I think what you're asking for is Cindy.

Be level 1 with precocious apprentice and that spell that summons a mirror mephit. Trade him one wish of his choosing for an Efreet simulacrum. Take over the world by level 2.

Pffft. Pun Pun could do it by level 1.

In all seriousness, just read this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104002) and come back if you have any questions.

I can do it in five rounds. Maybe.

I can do it outside of time itself!
It's good to be DM

We're not really helping, are we?

To get back on track, the Wizard's Handbook (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19869222/The_Wizards_Handbook) is an excellent resource.

The most badass build possible owns the entire game. You really need to be much, much more specific about your target power level. Wizard can be pathetic or it can be practically omnipotent.

Really the already posted links are all you really need. And guys, stop "bragging" about how quickly you can finish, it's just embarrassing :smalltongue:.

Well, if you're intent on making your DM hate you, you should probably make the other players love you to balance it out. This likely includes some sort of chain-buffing War Weaver shenanigans, but I'm AFB.

We were being intentionally silly.

A more recent guide than LN's (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19873034/Treantmonks_guide_to_Wizards_Being_a_God).

Who/What is Cindy?

Who/What is Cindy?Cindy is a wizard/incantatrix who is best known for abusing metamagic reducers to fire orbs of X that do hundreds of damage, no save, no SR, from 4th level spell slots.

Young girl who throws around blazing balls of fire. And is practically immortal. And can pretty much do whatever she wants with reality.

Bad! No! *Whacks on nose with newspaper*

Any builds that have/will be suggested in this thread have/will have one thing in common. They should never be played.

Easy and strong: Wizard 1, master specialist 7, and initiate of the seven fold veil 7. Next 3 levels go MS, finish with archmage 2.

Incredibly strong, and only uses the completes + Core.

Race of LA 0 with int bonus, if you want to be silly I would go with a venerable dragon wrought kobold. Gray elf is the common standby for this.

I see nothing nothing to argue with my previous statement.

@ OP

Being Batman is not so much about having certain feats or prestige classes, as it is choosing the right spells and how to use them. So, any wizard who isn't losing spellcasting levels can be a Batman.

For a 'real-life' example, here (http://pifro.com/pro/view.php?id=589)'s my Batman wizard.

Monk 20!:smalltongue:

I love having a level 20! (that's twenty factorial) levels in Monk. Really, now, when you have 3 quintillion levels, you can beat most things in the books...
