Black Tornado:

Welcome to the Imperial class cruiser known as the 'Black Tornado'. Swirled red and black sails are the trademark of this very modern sailing ship. Captain Allie Alandra, the young woman who is majority owner of this ship, was gifted it by her mother.

The sides of this standard cruiser, have been painted black, and has artistic red swirls everywhere. Allie continually repaints and repairs the ship with an on-ship painter (also a professional artist-- Zhako).

This young woman's cocky swagger betrays her skill and confidence in her 2 sabres, that dangle at her side. She wears an expensive, tailored suit of black studded leather, of at least masterwork quality.
She has dyed black hair, and a tan complexion of once formerly fair skin
Her jeweled green eyes betray the hint of noble family from which she descends.

An old Sea Baron reigns supreme in the Imperial Waters... this man is a mystery, and few know more than this: He runs and monitors all trade in the seas. He does pay a fee, of sorts to the Emperor, and has been free to run the Sea Trade for many years. Allie and her ship have been drafted into this man's great merchant fleet by her mother.

The low regions of the ship (rear Hold) are arranged so that 'specialists' are separated from the crew's main bunk-room and into small sleeping chambers, enough for gear, and a small padded bunk to stretch out on. Your things should be safe here.

Indiga the Hadozee stays near the Captain's quarters in her own special room in the main cabin, it is the first room into the Captain's Cabin region.

All ranks are free to associate with one another on Allie's ship. Something that Tylo and Ibis noticed was different from most imperial ships they had been on. The crew and cook, are very busy, and for the most part will go about their business on the ship.

The crew leaps to life when the specialists return from their battle at the freighter versus the scout-troops of the blue sahuagin.

Zhako the artist rushes to Allie, "I thought you were dead!!" Others crowd around you as the ship's crew, which is docked in the port has no idea what happened to the fleet anchored offshore.

Erria is here as well, and her eyes scan the group just teleported in by the imperial wizards in black robes. The young blonde teen begins to look sick, as she sees no sign of Sellyn.

Calli Pent (http://www.coyotecode.net/profiler/view.php?id=4489)

Calli frowns at the knowledge that the Admiral is returning to the Black Tornado. She'd prefer to never see that...... woman again.

She hugs Allie's hip, keeping her loathing hopefully to herself. I agree with Tolm. And just who's stupid idea was it to place the item on a merchant ship, rather than the Tornado in the first place?

Then she sees Erria. She releases Allie and goes to the young woman and tries to take her hands. He.... he fought bravely. He died shortly after saving me from some of the sahuagin. If not for that Sahuagin Mage..... She looks away, letting a tear fall.

It's a bit of a lie. But it also has a bit of truth in it.

Ibis

With his face drawn and haggard and his tangled dark hair wrapped in a tattered braid, Ibis looks as awful as he feels. But he manages a gracious smile as the crew members of the Black Tornado greet his Captain, his comrades, and himself. He is struck by how... open this place feels. In the other ships that he has been on, he had usually been overwhelmed by waves of sullenness and hostility born out of the Empire's oppression.

Tolm's wise speech strikes a chord with him. At least our people can defend themselves. The helpless sailors could not even raise a hand to the sahuagin warriors and wizards.

Tolm Lufson (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=134750)

Tolm, whose rugged features have been improved by the months at sea, grimaces in sympathy as Calli tells Erria of Sellyn's passing. The young girl's crush/hero worship of the unusual flind was more than a little odd to Tolm, but given the situation, entirely understandable.

As Erria errupts into a pained wail, Tolm slides out of his backsheath and places the beautiful falchion at his feet. In the same motion, he shrugs off his heavy blue and black chain shirt, letting it fall to the deck in a with a sinuous rattle. Clad in his padded blue under-armor and leather breeches, the handsome man walks carefully across the deck toward the hobbit and the weeping half-elven girl.

"Hey, shhhh..." Tolm says softly, his voice soothing and rich with sympathetic warmth as he lays a comforting hand on the sobbing girl's arm, "Sellyn was a good friend, and he would have hated to see us so sad. If he was here, he would tease us - you know he would - and would be telling us to stop being so sappy and get over it. Because that's the kind of guy he was; I don't think he was the kind of man - flind - who left this world with regrets. We're the ones stuck with regrets, because we can't get him back. All there is for us is to hold him close in our memory and think of him while doing the things he loved. It will feel lonely without him, but we're never truly alone. The spirits of our departed friends guard our steps and peek in on our world when they can. And we of the living have our living friends to look out for one another."

Tolm wraps the girl in a big-brotherly hug for as long as she needs it and when he pulls away, he smiles sadly at Calli, "Thanks for doing the hard part." The shaman is obviously deeply wounded by the loss of his friend, but seems to gain some strength and solace from comforting others.

The shaman gathers up his belongings and greets his other friends on the ship, particularly Olmeric, Zhako and Percy and drops his weapons and armor off in his quarters.

Baka

Baka stands in the middle of the deck, near Allie, appreciating the new ship and watching the discourse unfold. Baka Jengali, warrior of the Ashantu tribe, Ranger and Horizon Walker of Osiris, and bearer of the Golden Spear is a tall man by most standards, standing just a bit over six feet, being an Antarian by race. He comfortably wears a chain shirt with several signs of his beliefs and travel worn about him, including feathers and leather cords. His hair is short and you can see tribal scars placed on his face and body, those earned by a warrior of a tribe, and a few of his own creation. He carries two weapons of note. First he is the bearer of the golden spear, which is a title he has only recently started to be comfortable with by the blessing of Zgata. Second, slung in a carrier on his back is his preferred weapon, an excellent bow crafted as two intertwining snakes.

He introduces the other traveling with him openly to anyone who asks, as he trusts the security aboard Allie's flagship, even if he doesn't know the sailors yet. The other man, wearing a magnificent set of golden chain armor and wearing two silver swords, is Zgata, a prince of Antaria recently freed from a curse and bondage in imperial lands.

Baka warmly greets both Zhako and Olmeric, as well as a couple of other crew members, and promises to catch up with them later, especially Olmeric since his last travels were helping those near his village.

Since the first moment he spoke to her, Montoya had not liked the Flind, but now was not the time to say such things. As she somberly watches the sad scene with her new companions play out, a thought comes to mind. She turns to her captain and whispers, "So now that the trail leads to our ship, where will you realy hide the scepter?"

Tylo Riverbend

Tylo leans against the ship's railing, his blue-grey eyes seem to be searching the horizon for something. He is a short, wiry man with black hair. One hand clutches his green cloak tightly around his body. He wears a large quiver on his back, and the outline of a longsword can be seen though the cloak near his hip.

"Vogel, I wonder where you are. I know you're out there somewhere, but being this close to a busy port keeps you away. It's times like this I could really use your presence and guidance. So much has happened in the last day or two, and I can't wait until we're out on the open seas again so you'll return," he mutters this quietly.

"Its your fault!! Your fault!!" Erria blames the hobbit. Allie tousles Calli's head, not sure what to do with Erria either. Erria has no time for Tolm's sympathetic speech wanting to take her anger out on the hobbit, who easily deflects her feeble blows.

The big cook Olmeric comes running to Allie surprised to see Baka, and gives him a nod of surprise. A better greeting will be saved for later. Allie directs the big man to take care of Erria for the time being. The young noble teen is starting to lose it, and Olmeric will have to carry her below decks kicking a screaming.

Allie looks annoyed at the old bearded wizard. "We go to my quarters, and you will start from the beginning so all my specialists can hear." She will motion for all of you to follow her into the Captain's Quarters; walking by Indiga's room.
Allie mutters to the Hadozee on the way, "We'll discuss its new location as soon as we find out more about." Winking to Calli to acknowledge her concern as well.

As the other wizards begin to notice Baka's golden spear, they will mutter among themselves.

Vogel will make himself seen to Tylo and will try to comfort his material companion.

Calli lets Erria get in a few hits, defending herself less than she is able, but not letting the angry teen get anything too painful.

She smiles slightly to Tolm, after Erria is well away. I'm fine. She just needs someone to blame and I'm the best target. I think it's because she feels alone again. With no one to support her.

Come on, let's get to the bottom of this insanity. She will lead Tolm to Allie's quarters, but won't get ahead of Allie.

Captain's Quarters:

Baka will have a familiar feel when entering the Captain's Meeting room area, with lounge chairs, and a table. The old bearded wizard is uncomfortable in the cramped quarters with your group. He had his wizards wait outside, and looks at you all uneasily.

Tylo's friend Vogel will tell him secretly, that he just likes to check in on his favorite shaman.

In the meeting room when all are here, the Captain points at the wizard. "Okay. Start talking!"

"Well... there is not much to say, other than we are at war with the Sea Empire now. Something the former empress brought upon us. Even though her daughter is in charge and trying to get peace, many of the old empress' followers have gone... 'rogue'. As you know, Allie, the sea is ruled by the Sea Baron, and even the empire must pay a tax to use the great oceans. This surface Sea Baron is in direct contention against the Sea Empire, and almost as powerful. The Sea Baron's minions took the sceptre of the Sea, and now they want it back. We followers of the empress are stuck in the middle. On one hand we anger the Sea Empire by keeping the talisman; and if we don't deliver it to the Sea Baron in Kandor, we cause for a great disruption in trade."

Allie is annoyed by all this, and her brow furrows. "Seriously? Seriously?!? $#@& that guy. Give the Sea Emperor his due. He controls a LOT more creatures."

"Well, you see... we can't do that either..."

Baka

Baka's brow furrows along with Allie's. He had always hated politics, the thing that drove him from his parent's life into hunting and wandering in the first place. As soon as this wizard mentions the Sea Baron's theft, his mood darkens further. "It seems you are at war with the Sea Empire. I care little for your politics. Justice would be to return the sceptre. Many died tonight for your decisions."

Tom's brow furrows, "when you start fooling around with artifacts, people are going to die no matter what you do. It starts to become a matter of how many people die and how. What prevents us from simply returning the scepter to the sea emperor? It would be fairly simple - head out to open water and hurl the damned thing overboard. We might even be able to arrange for some emissaries to deliver it."

Tolm gives the Wizard a hard look - could it be that this man gave the orders that led to Sellyn's death?

The old wizard defends himself, "I stole nothing! I follow orders of the empire only... and Allie's mother is my superior." He looks like a weak old man in the light of this meeting room, belying the strength of his true power.

The wizard looks to Tolm in confusion, "I could never do that! The Sea Empire is a chaotic one... one that we can trust very little. I would get into a lot of trouble if I allowed it to be tossed to the sahuagin. The sea emperor may never see it then..."

The old man is a little frightened by the crowded 'power' in this room, as he begins to consider calling his wizard buddies outside.

Allie looks at Tolm, "I'm in agreement with my shaman and Baka. If you give it to me, I'd likely give it to the Sea Emperor. I have no love for the Sea Barons. They have caused our empire enough trouble. I am sure our new empress would be in agreement with me."

The old wizard mumbles, "It is beyond her power to decide..."

Allie laughs. "Really now? Just who do you wizards think you serve?"

Moments later there is a commotion on the deck of the ship. The old wizard mumbles, "That must be your mother...."

Calli will stand next to the door, leaning against the wall. She eyes the back of the old wizard before her, boring holes through his skull with her lazer vision. At least, if she had that power, she would.

Instead, she slowly pulls out her two daggers, carefully concealing them under her forearms, blades pointed currently toward her elbows.

She did not like this man, and she borderline hated Allie's mother.

Tolm winces at the mention of Allie's mother but keeps his mouth shut. It's not polite to talk about horrible witches when the witches daughter is in the room. Even when the daughter hates said witch.

Internally, Tolm and his spirit companion, Hralrim, are having a pleasant conversation about summoning a pack of dire wolves to run down the irritatingly feeble wizard over the course of several days.

BlueWizard

Tylo will be fully aware of Tolm's spiritual guide, and Tolm might be surprised when Hralrim nods a friendly hello to the short, wiry man.

A clamor and footsteps are heard coming down the short cabin hall, past Indiga and other officer's rooms, and gets quite loud. Magically the door swings open for a dramatic entrance of a woman in red.

Baka will see the resemblance of Allie ( from back in the day ) in the sexy Admiral Alandra, but there is even more red on this woman, with bright red hair, a fine flowing red dress, and bright red painted lips that she puckered at seeing the crowded room around her daughter. {Allie has dyed her hair black now.} Other dark robed wizards carry the Sceptre-case into the room, it is out of the locked wooden box now, and in a smaller, more fitting jewel-encrusted case.

Wordlessly she tells the young wizards to put the case on Allie's meeting table, and then spins around to face her daughter, barely giving the rest of you any heed. "Tell me my daughter. How am I...?"

She gets no further for Allie rips into her, much to Alandra's surprise, as Allie storms into the woman's face. Alandra's pretty face crinkles in annoyance as she listens, revealing her age for a moment. "YOU DARE SCOLD ME!!! YOU NEVER TOLD ME WHAT WE CARRIED!!!"

"I..."

"We could've ALL been killed!!!"

"I hardly think that...."

"But, you don't care!! You wanted them to attack us!!"

Alandra dismisses her wizards, except for the old fellow. Lady Alandra tries to remain cool, and pretty as she speaks, staying as haughty as she can. "You're lucky I didn't put it on your ship. But, we needed to find out what they would send at us. Really dear. You must understand war..."

"War!?! War?!? Whose at war?? You and your wizards? Or the sea baron? You know we are near the empress's husband. I'm sure I can arrange an audience with him and explain why a troop of sahuagin just about raided his resort port!!"

"You're starting to annoy me. Who are these... these cre..." She stops what she is saying when her eyes meet the fierce hobbit-girl. Not really intimidated, but Calli feels she affected her a bit. The Admiral tries to put Calli in her place as she turns back to his daughter. "I'm sorry. I thought there was a child in here. I had forgotten some of those... halflings still live. I'm sure the sea barons would be fascinated to hear about your little pet."

Admiral Alandra's face distorts when Tolm actually addresses her. Utter arrogance exudes from every inch of her body. In any other incidence Tolm may have been disintegrated, and the old bearded wizard looks frightfully at Tolm surprised the shaman is still alive. Alandra's bright red lips quiver in anger as she can't find the words to address this insolent man.

Alandra hears Calli, and laughs crazily as if she's gone mad. "Bast! Bast?!?! Ahahahahaha!!!!" Captain Allie backs up and gives you all a look as if she's never seen her mother like this. Judging by the fear in the old bearded wizard's eyes, this woman is near epic in power and a true force to be reckoned with. Even Allie doesn't know what to do, but keeps a confident stance before her mother.

When the pretty Admiral recovers, she is out of breath and red in the face. She gets in her daughter's face. "You are lucky I don't take your head now. Keep it mounted alive in my living room. Your good brother would be devastated. The putz!!" This comment about Allie's brother irritates Allie, but she holds her tongue. She's never seen her mother act this mad.

"You will never make it as an Admiral. Sacrifices and decisions on deaths must be made, my dear. And you are too sentimental. You have one more chance to please me. You will take this sceptre to the kingdom of Kandor. The king will be most pleased to see you. Very pleased. I'll take back my fleet, it has cost me too much of my fortune already. Not that you should be concerned, it seems only your sister will get any of it. You. Well, you have your wealth right here. Leave this port now. You won't talk to Daniel*, you won't do anything. You are going to Kandor, or I'm going to take this ship from you. I'll send further information as needed, but you... oh you... you will do this. Or I will present you as a whore to the king of Kandor. You can join his Seraglio with all his noble-wives." Alandra then teleports away.

Allie is visibly shaken, as is the old wizard. He nervously speaks to Allie. "So sorry... I... I think you should leave... now..."
He points to the jeweled case on the table. "It has power of the sea. A mighty artifact. Use it wisely... and know that it will only attract attention the more you use it." He too will eave quickly, very nervous about being here. You might even feel sorry for the old wizard now that you have seen the full crazy, arrogance of an epically powerful wizard {his boss}.

When they are gone Allie will look to Indiga, and say weakly, "Let's get this over with... at least we can lose the fleet... I hate Kandor." She looks to Calli sadness in her eyes and reaches out for comfort. To Tolm, holding back tears she nods, "Thank you... thank you all. Being of noble birth is its own curse."

Once again facing the Admiral's arrogance racism the bosun weathered the storm the only way she could, the aloof slouch. It was an elegant slouch, as only an orangutan can deliver, it showed absolutely no respect for those present while managing to not be overtly disrespectful. She almost loses her forced composure when the Admerial turns on Calli, but watches in amazement as the little half-ling turns the other cheek. Motoya doubts she could have done that in the face of with such blatant racism. Only when the Admiral and her minions are gone does she allow herself to smile.

Lending support to her captain by trying to make light of the situation. "I hate Kandor too, we could skip the middle man and take it straight to the Baron, it would look great on our application forms. We both hate the Baron but you're cut off from the inheritance and he can't be worse than your mother. I've gotten used to her arrogance and racism but I don't think I can listen that laugh a second time." With the last word of the sentence Montoya loses her cordial tone and her hand drops from the captain's shoulder. She swears in her native tongue and slumps back in a seat. "You don't think Sellyn's 'Ickilids' got her do you?" she finishes in a now depressed tone.
"Why else wouldn't she want you to contact Daniel or The Empire. It's gotta be some squidhead black ops mission." she swears again in a indecipherable language.

Ibis

Ibis has passively waited, as those he considers his betters bicker back and forth over the assigned mission. He can see the Captain's point quite clearly; her mother and her magicians had cooked up a ploy that had nearly sent them into the mouth of Hell. It was arrogant, reckless, and foolhardy, the sort of thing that came naturally to the high lords. Yet he could sort of see the lady's point of view; she might have thought she was doing the right thing, preserving the scepter from the force of evil as best she could. Perhaps the plan was flawed, but Re did not shape men and women to be perfect...

"My Lady," Ibis says to the Captain as soon as possible. "Have you any defensive wards or charms on your ship?" He licks his lips nervously. "On the morrow -- with your leave -- I can put a blessing on the scepter, to block against the sahuagin sorcerer's scrying spells."

Tylo returned a polite nod to Tolm's companion. He smiled finally acknowledging someone else who knew a nature spirit as closely as he did. Tolm is likely able to see Tylo's normally invisible companion, Vogel, a spirit which takes the form of a hawk sitting on his shoulder.

Tylo stands in the back of the crowded room, listening but not responding until after the admiral had left the room. The smile he'd initially worn slowly disappears, being replaced by a frown.

"So this is the woman we're working for? I understand why you follow her, Captain, but she really doesn't seem to be making our job any easier," he says aloud.

He'll be respectful and kind to all of you, but he and Baka have a bond that goes way back. The powerful sorcerer apparently fought off hoards of sahuagin near the main fleet and saved hundreds of lives. "It is good though you found the 'special' ship. For I think it was the true destination. The main attack was a distraction."

By early morning the remaining crew will be contacted and the ship will set sail. The teen noble {Erria} will be silent for the cook Olmeric gave her a swig of rum and she passed out in the kitchen and is sleeping the morning off there.

Before dawn the ship will set sail, the commotion with the fleet is taking place, and in the distance you will see many black robed wizards flying about examining the wreckage and death.

Allie does have an idea, she wants to get a message to the Archduke, who is married to the empress. {OOC- He is sometimes called emperor, but is only in title.} Whether covert ops, or magical, Allie would be willing to consider any to get a message to the high noble regarding this sceptre.

As soon as Tylo and Tolm began their shift one evening, their spirit friends felt uneasy. Not long after most of the crew fell asleep the entire deck of the Black Tornado went silent. Not many on watch survived this night.

Tylo and Tolm tried to rush to the main cabin or others to wake everyone, they knew the magical silence was bad, and there were many spells cast at once. Before they could act iridescent sahuagin pop out of nowhere and tackle everyone. Tylo and Tolm are able to struggle against their attackers and even fend them off momentarily, but before they can wake the officers in the cabin or the crew below decks it is too late for many of those unfortunate enough to work this night.

Some of you had specialist-bunks below decks near the crew quarters, but anyone near the crew quarter will be awakened, but not by noise, only vibration as bodies begin to fly. Crystalline ice-cold sahuagin were invading, and appear all over.

Tolm and Tylo have felt some of their painful freezing rakes, but did feel these were weaker than the blue-green ones they had fought before.

On the main deck Tylo and Indiga are clawed up and speared. Tylo is spared some cold damage, but is still bloodied under this heavy swarm of sahuagin. They only reason they likely still live now, is because they have the officer's cabin to their back. {Tylo: 9; Indiga: 16}

The sahuagin in the crew quarters will try to avoid Olmeric and Tolm, but do attack other lower ranked crewmen.

The sahuagin in Allie's room rush Baka and Zgata, but the trained warriors fend them off... for now!

Tolm wields his falchion mightily, and fells a sahuagin with his first blow. This blow along with Olmeric gives the remaining three flying sahuagin in the crew quarters cause to notice. {They may try to flee....}

The crew is inspired by Tolm's attack, and one of the bleary-eyed orcs here cuts down another, as he is raging over the loss of one of his comrades.

Calli peeks out as she sees the 7 sahuagin start to rush at the main entrance toward Baka and Zgata. Allie screams to open it, and as Calli pushes the door open she will see her warrior captain scream out and behead one of the surprised invaders!

Ibis will hold for top of round...... he won't hear anything, but white sahuagin are coming down the main hatch toward him! Ibis will hear them quite good in a moment! {DM action}

Tylo defends himself as well as he can against the onslaught of sahuagin. His recent focus on fighting enemies from the depths has served him well, so far, but the fight seems to be wearing on and he doesn't know how much longer he'll be able to hold out. So instead of attacking, he reaches into a pouch on his belt and pulls out a small vial. With a flick of his thumb, the cork and wax seal fly off and he pours the contents down his throat. He feels an odd tingling sensation as a deflective field surrounds him.

Ibis twirls his staff nervously as he makes his way to the upper deck. Something about the weird vibrations coming from up there bothers him. It takes him a few moments before he catches on. No sound!

He stops. The old priest is wise enough to realize that if he enters the deck, he too could lose his voice and so lose his great power. He decides stand his ground. If any enemy he approaches, he will slam his staff into the ground and blast the area with a burst of sound energy (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/soundBurst.htm).

Ibis finds himself nearly engaged and can send his sound burst into the silence above, but only to minor effect.... he hopes.

Tylo and Indiga are swarmed! Indiga's lantern splashes fire on two sahuagin who seem bothered by the fire more than normal. Indiga draws her Kusari-gama and does the best she can to swing it about, despite being swarmed by many.

Tylo tries to move to drink his potion, and is stuck with many weapons as he does this! {d:6} Luckily he can absorb the minor cold damage for now.

Now 6 sahuagin fight Zgata and Baka, and Baka spears two felling them with his golden spear, poking them in vital points. Zgata and his two blades make short work of two more, leaving only 2 standing in Allie's room.

The last 2 Sahuagin flee from Allie's room, making a full retreat out the window and diving back into the sea.

The remaining sahuagin flying in the crew quarters disappear, popping out as if they dimensionally traveled somehow.

Ibis is attacked by two sahuagin who pounce on him, and try to claw him up. One manages to hurt him a little. {d: 7}

Tylo and Indiga on the main deck continue to have trouble, and though Indiga manages to kill several, she is finally felled. Tylo holds tight, and somehow manages to avoid damage.... for the moment!

Tolm, Olmeric, and other readied warriors can make their way to the deck. Olmeric will tell the strong orc to guard the crew quarters and tend to the fallen crewmen.

Calli can see the main room is in shambles, with 5 dead or dying white sahuagin on the ground. Baka and Zgata were deadly in battle together, and even Allie is impressed. "You got good with that spear Baka. Shall we check out the main deck?" She is already moving though.

Tolm's eyes flash with anger as he pauses at the stair with Olmeric and the other readied sailors, "This is it. We defend our ship or all this is for nothing. The invaders must die!"

He rushes onto the main deck, falchion held in a 3/4 height posture. He sees the mass around Tylo and the fallen Indiga and Just. Loses. It!

With a wolfish howl (silent if need be) of burning fury, Tolm Goes Berserk! He moves rapidly toward the mass of enemies and Moonfire rises and falls with gleaming white light as he attempts to cut his way through the freakish white Sahuagins. Tolm desperately wants to meet up with Tylo in time to save Indiga. He doesn't wait for Olmeric and the other sailors to follow - he instinctively knows they will.

Ibis can tell that his spell must not have had any effect. Even with the magical silence, he should have felt something -- other than the icy slash of the sahuagin. Hathor, sacred cow of Antar, must not have wanted him to use violence this day. As you wish, my master, he thinks as he backs up. Aloud, he says, "Sekhmet, eye of Re, clear my path for me."

A burnished blue radiance springs about his teak-colored skin, granting him sanctuary (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/sanctuary.htm) for a time. It had worked before, against the sahuagin on the other ship, so he hoped it would serve him again now. With a deep breath, he heads up to the main deck to provide what aid he can.

Indiga is actually up and clears out an area with her Kusari-Gama, iridescent sahuagin go flying everywhere into the night air. They bleed light blue blood that splatters all over the place. {Indiga Retro,she is now at 33 hp.}

Baka and Zgata charge out of the cabin and into silence. They strike death into the ranks of the sahuagin and give Tylo and Indiga a little breathing room.

Tylo {5}, Baka {7}, and Indiga {14} all take a little damage, as the white ranks keep coming. Indiga takes a bit of cold damage from the clutche sof those who just touch her. She does slaughter many who come at her though.

Tolm and Olmeric will rush by Ibis and slaughter 2 sahuagins, and clear a way for the priest, who had been the front-line to the lower decks.

Calli and Allie will come out next, though Baka and Zgata had already cleared a pathway. There were many more directions to look as there were dozens still coming despite the many dead sahuagin strewn on the main deck.

Ibis can reach the deck with no effort, Olmeric and Tolm cleared a great path for him. He won't be able to get far for there are white sahuagiin everywhere.

Tylo's wild slashes manages to drop one white sahuagin cutting off its head. Tylo tries to let the more skilled warriors to the front-line.

Indiga has killed many and will again as they continue to literally at her. It is almost hard to count her enemies felled by the Kusari-gama chain.

Baka is just about as deadly with his golden spear. Zgata and he provide good cover for the wounded allies who fought so bravely.

And still the white sahuagin come! Baka is chilled a bit,{d:6} as is Zgata, but they do provide a brief relief for Indiga and Tylo. Olmeric, Allie, and Tolm{d:8} get a little pain as well. Ibis takes cover behind Olmeric and Tolm.

Just when one may have thought the pain was gone an Ice Storm blankets the deck of the ship. The likely culprit is one of the white sahuagin flying high in the sky, that can't be seen now. {Everyone on the ship is battered! Tolm makes a heroic effort to grab both fallen allies on his way to the cabin taking them into shelter. Tylo is still conscious barely, but Indiga is dying. Tolm can hear once in the cabin.

Olmeric pulls out some knives from his belt and tries throwing them, but is ineffective in this attack, losing his smaller steak knives in the sea. He is better hacking with his big butcher knives.

Calli manages to injure one mean-looking flying sahuagin above, but this guy isn't too bothered by the tiny bolts that graze him. Allie also gets an arrow-shot off, as she unholsters her bow from her shoulder, it merely grazes the sahuagin as well.

Ibis was affected by an area effect spell, his Sanctuary still seems to be up. He can drink his healing potion and head into the cabin hall to where Tolm is looking at the fallen allies.

Ibis will see Tylo pull his wand out and almost pass out. He heals himself a bit, and is looking a little less bruised.

Indiga bleeds and shivers, but her shivering is getting softer as she fades from life. {-1}

Zgata will guard the cabin entrance with his two swords at the ready. He is a melee fighter, with only daggers to throw. Baka can pull out his bow and fire a shot at the sahuagin that Calli hurt a bit. His solid bow shot sinks deep into the creature's leg and pains it, but this guy is tough. Calli and Baka will also find they chose wisely in their targets when it casts a vile spell. :smallcool:

White sahuagin fly to the wounded lead sahuagin and heal the damage you just did, and possibly pumped him with more power. There are about 8 other sahuagin in the air, but the one Baka and Calli hit seems to be the one with dangerous spells, and is also a lot tougher looking, now that you can see it with the Ice Storm gone.

The mean-looking one glares at Baka and directs a spell at him! {Fort: 6+11}
Baka's arms wither and shrink as if they'd wasted away for years. Baka drops his bow, and can't use his arms! {Baka's arms are withered!}

Tolm begins summoning his swarm....

Olmeric has many knives, and decides to throw them at the easier to hit sahuagin. Two steak knives hit the chest of an assisting sahuagin, and it dies drifting ever so slowly to the deck.

No-one can see what Allie is doing.

Calli can easily make it back to the cabin-hall with no problem, and will be able to see and hear here. Tolm is summoning something; Tylo and Indiga are back up!

Indiga will feel a lot better with the Antarian priest of Thoth healing him. {+15}

Tylo can only move, for his standard action this round was touching Indiga with the healing wand. He can activate the magic from drinking the excellent little potion next round. :smallcool:

Indiga can stand, unfortunately her Kusari-Gama is outside in the dark. She roughly knows where it is among the dead bodies of sahuagin.

Baka runs into the 'light' of the cabin and can hear Tolm chanting now. He will see Calli and the others here. Baka looks grotesque right now as his arms are completely shriveled.

All of you are now crowded in the hall, and you have no idea what is going on in the dark silence. Baka will see that he can still see daylight out his bedroom window here from the hall. A cold fog is rolling in around your ship.

Tolm peeks out from a crack in the doorway as he completes his summoning spell, and a swarm of bats emerges from a green point of light that the shaman targets as close as he can to the Sahuagin Sorcerer. (If Tolm can't see the flying sahuagins, he places the swarm as close as he can to where he remembers the sahuagins being. The bats' blindsense will do the rest.). The bat swarm flies off to engulf the sorcerer and its allies.

If Tolm was able to see the Sorcerer, he lets Moonfire fall to. The floor and steps out into the doorway, unslinging Spitter and loosing a pair of arrows at the Sorcerer.

If Tolm wasn't able to see the Sorcerer, he dives out of the cabin in full defensive posture, grabs Indiga's weapon and brings it back to her.

After Calli had made her way back below deck, she was relived. Losing her hearing was bad enough, but to be totally blind and deaf, it was beyond any horror she'd ever imagined.

She looked about the room for Allie. She wasn't back yet. Calli stiffened. She grasped her sword tightly. Was she prepared to go back into that hell to find her?

Then the door began to open. Let it be her. Let it be her. she thought to herself.

But then Baka entered. Calli's eyes was both relieved and distressed at once. And then she noticed his arms, and the relief fled from her. She looked away from the horrible sight.

She looked sidelong at Tolm after his suggestion. You make a big enough hole for me, and I'll go down first. She says with determination she did not feel.

Ibis will have been entrusted in keeping the sceptre, and may even have it on his person with the magic non-detect on it. Very likely Allie would have trusted a priest to hold it. A Thoth priest, and one her mother was punishing.

Judging from the sounds through the officer's window, Tolm's swarm of bats has annoyed the enemy.

The fog though is thick outside, and it seems the ship has stopped moving. Tylo, Baka, and Tolm can tell it is unnatural.

Ibis's spell is not powerful enough to help Baka's withered arms.
On further examination, the priest will determine, that it is a minor curse. 'Should clear up in a minute... maybe two, depending on how powerful it was.'

"I must see to the injured," Ibis murmurs. "But, if it is your will, I can try and see if the staff can help us destroy this ice. Thoth's divination suggests that it can bend a certain dragon to its will." He frowns. "Dragons are the ones that breathe fire, right?"

They may be trying to sink the boat. It would require quite a bit of magic to get us to be able to fight them below the waters. I have done this before. I don't know if we have this magics available to us." Baka takes a quick look around for any confirmation while he continues to stretch his arms nervously.

"I think they want us to go in there." Allie says looking out at the ocean. "Let's save the water-breathing potions. I'm sure we'll be needing them for some adventure or another."

Tolm's wind has given you clear sight for miles. You are above the tropics, and in more temperate seas. You will even see distant merchant vessels sailing the main protected routes; the ones with check-points, Allie and her speedy ship avoids these.

Allie will tell everyone, in her broken Meeting Room."It is as if we are at war with the sahuagin. There are millions of those guys. All sorts of colors. Black ones are the worst, they are by far the most powerful. We'll be in real trouble if we see them. These white ones seem to be magical and cold. I never heard of them."

Tolm's elemental will at least be able to clear a small path in the ice and free the Black Tornado from the ice lock, but it will still be a great circle of ice. The elemental will only be able to stay so long.

While the elemental is helping free the ship Allie will have the bigger crew remove the dead bodies and begin to build a big pyre of bodies to be burned on the ice. Over 60 dead sahuagin litter the deck. Most pummeled by their own sorcerer's hail storm. "These guys don't care. They'll just bring them back. At least we make it harder and more expensive this way."

Allie also thinks that Calli should hold the sceptre. "That way it is always close to me."

He looks up toward his shoulder. "Any suggestions?" He pauses for a moment, as if listening. "Yeah. Maybe we could do something to draw them up here. I mean we've got a few minutes right now, to better prepare ourselves. We stand a lot more chance up here against them. With all this ice around trapping us, and the sahuagin that seem to want a fight, we won't get out of this without killing a lot more of them, I'm afraid."

If that's the case, he's probably safe at least for the time being. If the sahuagin had wanted to kill him they probably would have done so outright. And seeing Baka's reaction to his fall earlier, he didn't want to provoke him again. Then, of course there was always the orange guy climbing up the side of the ship to worry about.

He knocks a pair of arrows and aims them toward the side of the ship where he expects the sahuagin to be coming up soon.

Since they aren't yet visible from what I understand, Tylo will hold his action for now. The trigger for his attack will be when one of his allies hits a sahuagin with a melee attack.

Since he's readying an attack for when an ally hits, this triggers his Deadeye Shot feat, meaning the enemy is denied his dex against the attack.

He will use the many shot feat to fire two arrows in this single standard attack.

He will also use his Arterial Strike feat to forego his sneak attack damage to deal a bleeding wound, which causes 1 hp of damage per round until the target is healed.

Ibis

At the sign from his comrade, he stops his spell and asks, "Where is Prince Zgata?" The celestial form has barely even begun to take form before it crumbles into a few hundred imperceptible shards of air and vanishes back into the other planes. But with its energy, Ibis quickly whips up a sword. "In the name of Djehuty, I call forth -- Spiritual Weapon!"

A glowing staff, identical to the one in his hand, appears before him, surrounded by a nimbus of radiant purple force. Ibis raises one bony wrist and flicks his hand in the direction of the attacking Rock sahuagin.

Baka holds for the enemy to come up....

Calli's tiny arrows plink into one Rock Sahuagin coming up, and does a little damage. She can tell cold damage effects these guys. But, these orange ones have a lot more health to them.

Indiga and Tylo hold their attack...

Ibis' spiritual weapon strikes and injures one of the Rock Sahuagin.

Tolm directs his wind, and produces flame...

Allie and the crew have armed themselves with arrows and fire many arrows at the up-coming sahuagins. Some damage is done, but there are about a dozen, and they can take pain.

The might Rock Sahuagin climb up the side to the railing for attacks.

Baka actually kills the one who comes at him, and it drops into the sea. This one had been hit by a couple of arrows too.

Indiga only gets no 'sneak attack' for the Rock Sahuagin also has reach and grabs the chain pulling Indiga over the side of the ship and into the water.
Allie calls out, "Indiga overboard!!!" Indiga can see that the sharks are going to move on her.

Tylo can help injure one of the more wounded Rock Sahuagin coming up.

The Rock Sahuagin are powerful and the one that disarmed Indiga pounces on her in the sea and will attempt to wrestle her in the water.
The rest engage and charge all over the deck seeking out certain targets like Ibis and Allie; both take a mighty claw wound.

"This day just gets better and better," Tolm growls, seeing Montoya suddenly disappear over the the far side, and a couple giant orange fishmen appear on the deck. The shaman, currently unthreatened by any opponents, shifts into a defensive posture and begins summoning again. If any enemies comes near him, he uses the potent globe of fire in his hand to help defend himself.

The Rock Sahuagin are particularly hardy, withstanding even his most fearsome weapon. One of them even manages to gash him, reopening an old wound. The priest staggers back, wincing, and lands hard on one knee. He clenches on fist high above his head and speaks a sword. His force-sword flies back towards him, hovering in place in front of him.

"Attack again!" Ibis commands, directing his weapon to attack any sahuagin who get too close to him.

A note should be made: These Rock Sahuagin are LARGE creatures.

Calli definitely gets the attention of the Rock Sahuagin when she reveals the sceptre. All their attention goes to that. Allie is quite shocked, "Calli! Get that thing below decks and keep it safe!! I'm not sure what it can do!!"

Ibis magical weapon fails to hurt its opposing Rock Sahuagin.

Tolm gets to a safer position to begin his summoning....

Allie and her crew fall back; only the front-line fighters remain. Olmeric and Allie move to defend Calli's retreat... they hope...

Baka faces up to another imposing Rock Sahuagin, this one is hurt by a couple of pokes, and it seems to be a lot more healthy than the last guy. It bleeds, but Baka might've just pissed it off.

Indiga tries to wrest herself away from the Sahuagin, but at the cost of her Kusari-gama, which it releases into the ocean to go after her. This sahuagin is quite comfortable in the sea, and keeps a hold of Indiga's leg as she grips the black painted side of the ship.

Tylo can fire his arrows and wound one of the sahuagin. The one fighting Indiga is too hard to hit. {OOC- And he wants to drop a rope?}

Most of the Large Rock Sahuagin, built like ogres, try to bash their way to Calli. For the moment the front-line holds. Baka, Indiga, Ibis, and some of the crew get scratched up trying to hold their ground vs the enemy.

Calli is able to use the Captain and others's blocking to make it below decks where she can take refuge with other sailors; many of them are firing arrows from tiny arrowports in the ship's side.

Ibis' magical weapon continues to attack, but to little or no effect. He also tries to defend himself as he is bum-rushed by three Rock Sahuagins. He is not the best in hand-to-hand...

Tolm's newly summoned dire-wolf can aid in the attack, even attempting to trip a Rock Sahuagin. Which the wolf will do! He will aid Ibis, and free up at least one of the attackers on the priest.
Tolm can then move near Tylo to aid in getting Indiga back on the ship.

Allie and Olmeric work together kill one, ignoring others around them. The crew in the ship fires at sharks in the water, and the combat intensifies.

Baka slams his golden spear into his opponent a couple times, and hurts it, but still doesn't kill it.

Indiga uses all her strength and reaches up to the rope held by Tylo. She will do her best to pull herself out of the water, and just in time for great whites are right on her!!

Tylo will heave as best he can to help Indiga up...

The enemy attacks. Ibis stands no chance, and it seems the enemy was targeting him for they beat him, pick him up, and toss him toward the waiting sharks in the sea as if he were a rag doll. If Ibis is not dead, he will be soon, as the sharks begin to devour him. It does buy a moment for Indiga though.

For the most part the crew stands strong, and Baka is only scratched a bit. The Rock Sahuagin will notice Tylo and Tolm's aid of Indiga, and will make their way to them now that Ibis is dead.

Indiga's leg gets clawed.

Tolm can aid Tylo in pulling Indiga free, even using his fire to annoy the pursuing Sahuagin. The dire wolf pounces on the fallen sahuagin and rips it open a bit.

Allie and Olmeric fight gallantly. A mighty orc warrior does too, but he is looking weak as if he lost a lot of blood.

Baka finally finishes this particularly might Rock Sahuagin, who seemed to pick Baka out in the crowded deck. This sahuagin fought nobly, but Baka proves to be the better warrior.

When Tolm comments on the Ice Sahuagin weakness to fire, Baka agrees that he noticed this as well. He suggests that a fire pot be put around the deck strategically, but is worried about them being used to start a fire on ship. "Maybe a central one that could be stoked in case of an attack and be used to light arrows?" He will also work on preparing some arrows to be used in this manner, for he believes that another attack is eminent.

Once the boat is freed from the ice flow, he will calm some, but remind those he sees on deck to keep an eye out for any disturbances from the water. "These attacks have been coming from below. We need to keep our eyes low, not just on the horizon."

The other comment that Baka catches is Tylo's status report on Zgata. "What?! He's alive?" His initial stride toward Tylo is aggressive as his frustration mounts. But he knows Tylo's message to be encouraging. His confusion fades as he works through several unfinished questions, "How did he... How do you... Why didn't I know? Vogel?"

He steps closer to Tylo and leans on the railing near him. He looks at Tylo's shoulder for a moment, then seems to dismiss a comment. "Zgata is my charge and my prince. He has been lost to us in Antaria for many years and I had the fortune of finding him many months ago. As you know, we planned on returning to Antaria to rejoin him with his family. It would have been a joyous day. That he lives is great news indeed." He reaches out and pats Tylo on the arm. "But if we can find him, we must. "You're safe. That's what is important, and so is the sceptre." Allie will then surprise officers on the command deck, when she kneels before Calli, and gives her a big, juicy, wet kiss and fondles Calli over her clothes in front of everyone. It is a little much, but she is the captain, so no crew says anything.

Zhako, the artist, has to adjust himself.

Allie will hold Calli's hand during Tolm's memorial. You may notice that Allie is growing more attached to her halfling girlfriend.

Regarding Baka's plan:
Allie will point out some lighter-kits for the arrows, and per Baka's request have them placed in ready positions. In general, there are lanterns on the deck, especially at night. In the day one or two are kept burning for emergencies. Several arrows can be prepped for fire as well.

Through Tylo, Vogel can relay to Baka that the white sahuagin soldiers took Zgata, but not before passing him to fast-moving yellow ones. They all seem to prize him as a prisoner, and he was not harmed when captured. Baka would at least appreciate their intelligence on that move. Perhaps a ransom... or rescue?

Indiga already had the respect of the crew, but after this night's attack there was no questioning her. She was even back up and in command, her orders are followed without question and eagerly.

As Baka ponders this Vogel that Tylo speaks of Allie seems very concerned with Zgata. "We will get him back, Baka. Everyone needs to realize that this is important, and in my opinion more important than the blasted green sceptre. If the Prince is alive, then I am sure they have a plan. One we must be ready for. We now stand to make a great ally if we can get this noble man home. An entire empire will be overjoyed."

Tylo

Tylo places a reassuring hand on Baka's shoulder for just a moment, then turns and looks out over the water. "Don't worry. We'll do our best to find him. If he was lost once and you were able to find him, I'm sure you can do it again. Especially with Captain Allie's help. And Vogel already gives me more information. He says that the white sahuagin took the prince, but soon passed him off to fast moving yellow ones. They took him unharmed away from here, so they may be planning to try to ransom him."

Tylo turns his head, addressing at the same "empty" shoulder again. "Thank you, the information you provide is invaluable."

He turns back to the open sea, and speaks again to Baka. "You said you have not met Vogel, but he sits perched here on my shoulder. Vogel is a spirit that I became friends with many years ago. He has followed me almost constantly since that time. Though as a natural spirit, he tends to stay outside when I head into a city." He turns toward his shoulder again. "You don't like the crowds, do ya?"

Vogel will say that the Antarian Prince was taken far away from here. Vogel can track the gold-clad fellow via the sea and water spirits.

Zgata was taken in the general direction you were headed. North. Though likely the Ice Sahuagin come from FAR North.

More 'uneventful', but still stressful days will pass as the ship heads to cooler waters toward the North.

Tylo chuckles. "No, Vogel is a nature spirit. He never had a human form. He is simply one of the natural spirits that live in the wild places of the world. He takes the form of a hawk, actually. He loves to soar and explore the world, that's part of the reason he's travelled with me for so long. We have a bond, I guess you could say. Vogel also has a connection to other spirits of nature, that's how he's keeping track of your prince. The sea spirits have informed him that they've taken him far to the north, so at least we're heading in the right direction."

At the memorial, Tylo listens quietly while staring at his feet. He seems unable to take a deep breath, for every time he tries, it catches in his throat and comes out as a soft whimper.

Baka smiles with some understanding to Tylo's response. "I envy you. I have studied Osiris' creation with a watchful eye ever since he called me on that field many years ago. I felt the silent pounds of the jaguar's heart that I had been hunting all day. When we finally met, we paused and understood each other, and I understood more of Osiris. I walked away from a kill that day. But the spirits have always been silent to me. They are satisfying to my soul, but silent to my ears. Stories such as yours is the reason that the horizon has always called me. There is much to be learned out there. Even from our current enemy, these Sahuagin."

With the passing of Ibis, Tolm finds himself to be the only spiritual guide on the ship once again. The kind-hearted and charismatic man attempts to make himself available to the rest of the crew. He wants to try to channel their grief and anger over the recent deaths of their comrades into more positive action and direction, and explains what he knows about the spirit world to any who show interest.
Tolm works to become a better friend to Tylo and Vogel - the shaman is keenly interested in learning more about the quiet man's connection to such a potent spirit.

Tolm doesn't have much of a head for strategy, and so he can't offer much in the way of plans to track down the the Antarian prince. He does his best to keep everyone motivated and focused on that goal.

Baka

Baka has done quite a bit of traveling in the last couple of years, and he trusts Allie's assessment since she had traveled most of that with him. He decides to give a couple words of encouragement or warning to Tylo. "The dangers go by a different name, but they are the same as you have anywhere, if not perhaps more cunning. It can be overwhelming to the senses which is where the danger begins because you become distracted. The same ground rules apply. Stick together. Don't go anywhere by yourself. Don't trust others beyond anything that is necessary. Mark your bearings so that if you are not sure, come home, back to the Tornado. She'll be waiting here."

Baka suggests that the ship stock up on some means of healing, as their fights with the Sahuagin have cost them supplies as well as sailors. "Maybe we can keep a few more crew around with more magics to help us." He also muses about an enchantment to his bow after seeing Calli's magical darts fly.

The last thing that has been bothering him is how conspicuous he is. In a large enough city, even an Antarian may be able to blend in. But everyone notices this spear. He has been putting a lot of thought into this at night in his quarters and thinks he remembers something said by Chigani when he first met the chieftain. The night before arriving he tries his theory out. Using his found affinity with the weapon he stretches out his will to change the apparent metal of the spear to something more non-descript such as steel. If that does not work he will attempt a more base metal, though still eye-catching, like silver.

Two days from an Imperial port the ship is swarmed by approximately 200 hundred black imperial skiffs. Each with about 8 men. All of them wear black scholarly wizard robes, and are likely trained wizards. Allie curses her mother, and holds Calli's hand as the wizard staff flies on-board the Black Tornado.

Allie calms everyone, and will wave the flying wizards to the command deck. Indiga is likely in the ropes right above, and others of you are nearby enough to hear.
"I'm sorry to say dear Allie. We must search your ship. Entirely."
The graying wizard is smug, like he has something on her. She seems to recognize this older fellow. He looks at Calli, "Your bedmates are getting smaller I see. Good to see your mother isn't whoring you out any more. You really made something of yourself." Calli will see Allie almost lost it there and strangled the man. Her hair now dyed blood-red, her face flushes to match. She decides to coolly jest instead. "That isn't the only smaller thing onboard this ship." She looks low on the wizard and he frowns. Allie shakes Calli's hand to laugh with her.

The wizard is pissed, and shouts to the flying wizards with him. "Search the ship. Find the sceptre." Allie squeezes Calli's hand and looks silently down at her. The red anger fading from her face already.

Allie whispers to her hobbit-girlfriend, before turning to meet the lead-wizard "Well! We wanted to tell you that the damn sahuagin took your prize! Along with the good Prince Zgata."

"The gold-clad Antarian?" The wizard ponders for a moment, "HE had the sceptre?" He is insulted by Allie's bluff, but he seems to have bought it even with Indiga's aid.:smallyuk:

"I gave it to the Prince. I thought he might be able to use it right. YOU wouldn't happen to know how to use it? I sure as hell don't, but he said he could. So we gave it to him. Said he controlled green dragons... or powers or something..."

"Of course, I know how to use it!!" He snaps, "But, you won't get anything out of me with your clever ploys!"

No matter what the wizards do, they won't find the sceptre. Powerful magic is called upon, but still they cannot locate the sceptre, or even draw any attention to Calli. Calli will think something in the sceptre doesn't want it to be found.... perhaps Ibis magic is still working? In the end the pissed off lead wizard will admonish Allie. "Your rebelliousness is wearing us thin. You will work for us now and recover that Prince! And we will make sure you do. This time no shenanigans of your mother's doing. I will be sending along wizards to watch your every move and advise you. WE will be in charge, not you. I have power over even your mother. This is your problem now Allie."

He can understand her eccentric indulgences. How does one not just survive, but live in such a tornado. Such an aptly named vessel for her.

He gathers himself, as the parlay continues, readying to push the wizards from their position and remove them from the ship. Probably a futile effort, but his momentum is spilled as soon as they agree that the highest priority should be to rescue Prince Zgata. Well played my captain. Thank you for that sacrifice. With a nod of his head, the Admiral will step forward and introduce: "Rear Admiral Thrace Rockfire will be your new commander. Your ship will be his office. Make accommodations immediately." The Admiral will leave as if his word is law, and will teleport away immediately.

A tanned imperial man with long dark curly hair peers from under his dark scholar's hood. You I hear are a lucky man; you wield the Great Spear. Besides I like your Captain. And I'm just here to make sure we get your Prince and the sceptre. Did you know that spear was made over 4000 years ago for the protection of Prince Zgata's ancestors. It is very powerful I hope you know what to do next time he is in danger." Baka feels as if this smug fellow isn't telling him everything he knows.

He won't say much more right now, but will give Baka the respect due a chosen one, who indeed Baka is said to be. 'They' had said it was the dragon-boy, but it was actually the ranger.

Most of the wizard ships are long gone by the time the smug Admiral was leaving, his skiff was the only one left.

Indiga can get this ship moving with no trouble. Zhako the ship-artist, continued to work on repairs, he began to wonder what happened to Calli. He will mention this to Indiga.
