Video Game Connection Problem.

So, I was playing some Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I wanted to play online, but whenever I tried to join a game, it would disconnect me from xbox live completely. It has been happening for a few days now. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

Oh, I should probably mention that it will occasionally let me join a friends game in progress, and will continue to let me play in that server. That information might help someone.

If you use a router, you're going to need to open some ports. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but they should be on the XBox Live support page. Or, you could just google "XBox Live ports"

Make sure your NAT is open too.

Has your xbox been modded in any way?

Try exiting your live account and re-sign in.
Or try to enter a game, as it's searching go to dashboard, and then go back.
Both work for me.
