Yu-Gi-Oh PbP- The Tourney, Match Arrangement and IC Thread

The assembled duelists are led into a huge plaza, with a large elevator in the middle, with panels coming off its walls showing various pieces of data.
Around the walls of the plaza are multiple Paladins wielding Heavy Picks, and the duelists notice there are many carvings of dragons on the floor There are four passageways at the other end of the arena, each with different coloured walls. In front of the elevator, standing next to a podium, is Altaria.
"Greetings, fellow duelists, welcome to the great Dueling tournament organised by the Church of Bahamut. I can see many of this land's greatest duelists. Blue Ghost, master of Wizards and wielder of Water. Doliest, another Wizard user and also commander of many Warriors. Sir Bedevere, user of the Telekinetic and the Earthbound. KazilDarkeye, master of the Seven Deadly Sins. Lorolar, the Lightsaber king. And me of course, commander of Bahamut's Dragons and the legion of Fairies. We're also expecting appearences from The Phantom and D Lord.
So, behind me you can see the passages to four arenas, Brass, Bronze, Copper and Gold. Simply find someone in the plaza you wish to duel, and make your way into the Arena, everyone else can watch from one of the four corresponding screens. And don't worry if there's more than four duels at once, the laws of spacetime can take one for the team. Also on the screen above me you will see the League Table, once everyone's played everyone else the top 2 will proceed up the elevator to Silver Arena and take part in a Match Duel for the tournament win. Though now that you mention it I do feel a little off...This body is merely experiencing some changes. Wait, what? Something wrong... somethings in my head..."

He moans and falls to his knees on the floor, the bulges under his clothes seem to shift and move towards his back. "I... aaARAARGH!" He screams in pain and anguish as a... thing, bursts out from his back leaving a bloody mess of the back of his armour. Horrified onlookers will recognise it as the monster from his card, alien ammonite. The wound quickly seals up with a sickly vein filled greyish green flesh. "What the hell... what the ***** HELL?!" He stumbles to his knees and tries to make a run for it before the alien's glow and he falls back to the floor limp.

In a few short moments his body jerks, then rises to an upright position like some puppet with its strings pulled. "The tounament will continue, this host is our hostage. The collection of powerful beings here is our reward, further demands wil come later."

"O.K. well I think I'm among the most qualified here to speculate. I'm thinking a Class 1.3 infestation - sentient parasite. Based on the fact that most of us are remaining sane, I'd say the creature was created in our universe rather than being transported here.
Based on descriptions of other invasions and so on, 2 cases are probable:
1. We have in our midst the last one remaining.
2. There are loads of the things and this one is on the front line.

In conclusion, my diagnosis is a sentient alien parasite. My suggested course of action...I'm not sure, I'll need more time to come up with one that's not just 'run faster'."

Well I've been thinking about it, and now the Ghosty is numerically locked to be in the final I think it's also licked that the other one is me or Lorolar, and I don't think I'm going to be able to beat him, so when he reappears, I think I may just pass on the place in the final to him and finally get the tourney over wtih

The two doors of the elevator open and everyone steps inside, it then ascends for about 30 seconds, then the doors open again, and everyone is greeted by the sight of The Silver Arena
"Well, here i tis, if the two finalists could take their positions?"
The walls of the Arena are, obviously, shining Silver and the generic host of Paladins lines the sides, but the main attractions are the statues, they'r enot the boring ones like those downstairs, they are huge.
One of them is a huge Silver Dragon, obviously a Great Wyrm, which appears to be roaring at the sky with its wings unfurled. the other is a depiction of five Solars, frozen in a battle cry.
And in the centre of the huge Dome, is an Ark. Huge and yellow, seemingly suspened in midair, gold trails of energy appear to be flowing into it from a strange machine under it.
"Now, Ghosty, Alien Abomination that doesn't know the meaning of originality? Get ready to duel. And be sure to put a lot of energy into it."

The alien host strides out of the arena as the holograms of his Overlord on the gorund and his fortress filling the sky vanish, at least... they should have. Unfortunatly for all those involved the cosmic horror in the sky remains most resolutely present and judging by the cloud distortions its producing, most deffinatly real.

"By rite of the laws of these things we hav given your planet a chance before we crush it. Now but one foe stands before us, the only to check our passing in the past, indeed one with a soul so bright it drew our eyes from across the stars. Yes Ghost, you are much of the reason you are here, your soul energy and the still living flesh of your body will fuel another one of our Cosmic Fortress's should we win. One of your soon to be brothers waits above us."

The host remains motionless on the elavator ride to the top of the tower, though a single tear trickles from one of the eye holes of the mask, apparantly it didnt yet have the total control it thought.

Confronted by the glowing form of the ark and its machinery the alien scowls "More tricks to try and save your world. Should we win this duel it is ours by right, who are you to deny the laws pathetic humans. Bring on our foe so that we may get this over with"

What are these laws of which you speak? The universe is governed by the law of Good, and whatever arbitrary law you follow is definitely not it. I do not recognize your law, but I will indeed give you a match to remember, so that when you leave this earth with nothing to show, you will know that there is a higher law. Let us duel.
