Ok, this may sound strange, but for Christmas I want to give a special someone a special gift. I found out that a strange quirk of hers is she hates socks... after the first day. If she won the lotto the one thing she would do is buy enough socks to last her the rest of her life without having to ever wear the same kind.

So what I want to do is find 365 pairs of socks. Actually, gonna buy a special pair for each holiday and her birthday, so maybe more around 350 or so.

Now, I'm trying to keep this under $200 if possible. Any ideas?

...you have a really weird girlfriend, dude. :smalltongue:

That said, if you find socks that cheap, let me know.

Well, the best that I can find is 24 pairs of mens socks for 26$. If you're willing to get 10 of your best friends to buy this (so that you have unique orders) you could get 240 pairs for $260. I'll look a bit more for a really good deal, but this was the first thing that I found really easily.

Hopefully she has big feet?

Despite how cute she is, it's that that grabs my heart. She also named her scar...

Naw, lil feet... but that's an awesome idea.

googling "bulk socks" gave me this:

4-5$ a dozen, works out to about $120

Amazon has:
- Fruit of the Loom Women's 6-Pack No-Show Socks ($10)

- Champion Women's 6-Pack Performance Crew Socks, White, 5-9 ($7.54, 7 available), took a little fiddling to find the sale price.

- Ladies Crew sock in Solid Color or Assorted, 3 pair pack ($3)

Amazon is nice because orders of significant sizes means you don't have to worry about S&H, and you don't pay sales tax (well, at least depending on where you live).

I checked Nike, they didn't seem to have anything good.
I tried Moab sports, and they have high end socks, which is the opposite of what we want.
DANGIT! onestopplus.com was running a 3 packs for $2 (you would have needed a lot of friends to help out with this one) but the deal has expired.

Now, I did manage to find a slick coupon deal:

Again, you'll probably need to get a bunch of friends together to take advantage of this, but then again you are trying to get 365 pairs of socks for <$200!

I think your best bet is probably to snag as many of these coupon deals from slickdeals as possible. It'll be a bit time consuming, but I'm just not sure if I can give you anything better other than hitting a thrift store and just lying about whether or not they have ever been used before.

Edit: Rawr, talk about getting crushed. Nice find man, can't believe I didn't think about bulk ordering.

Pity you didn't think of this before, oh, Thanksgiving, as K-Mart was selling fun socks that day only for $.88 a pair. Which would still run you about $300 for 350 pairs, but one of the few times I've seen them for less than $1/pair.

My cousin named her stomach ache.

Yes, her stomach ache. It's called "Absurt". Yes, with a t.
