Well, then, as Dark said above, Dire Moose.

Huh. I was so sure this was going to be a thread to get O-Chul to break the fourth wall and therefore create a rift in reality, and take volunteers to enter OotSverse and infest Kraagor's Dungeon.

Nevermind, it's just dungeon speculation. :smallsigh:

I'd like to see a beholder, but that's only because I'd like to see the Order fight it.

But really, you fill a dungeon with too many different monsters and the best way to beat them is let them kill each other and come back in a month, kill what's left and get the loot.

a) Isn't this thread heading remarkably off-topic? Or am I naive to assume that there was even the slenderest hope that there was a serious question in the original post that could be speculated on?

b) Doing my bit to keep the thread off topic. What pop culture reference am I missing with "Dire Moose." That can't be serious, can it?

Kish probably had it right with:

Purple worms, rocs, and probably everything with a CR between those and "too much for Serini to handle."

Although there is nothing to say that Serini couldn't have handled a lot - she had a delivery company with cranes putting down crates of things. She didn't need to best them personally.

not pop culture. since the dungeon is in a cold place, and I am heading for canada, which is a cold place which is known for it's moose (dire or otherwise)
I posted that among other things there'll be a dire moose in the dungeon.

If there were one thousand clones of Belkar when the dungeon was first created, when the Order gets there, there will be one very fat clone of Belkar.

Given we have seen a Dune worm it is reasonable to expect one or two monsters from the outside.
That was a purple worm that arrived in a Dune-ish way, not a pure Dune monster.

Hmm... Maybe more than one, maybe one still-fleshy corpse with a field of bones. It depends on how long one Belkar will feed the remainder at any given time. Eventually, there will be only one - but until then there's no reason why the most capable Belkars wouldn't join forces to eat their weaker brethren in stages. Then it's down to how many Belkars must be eaten

Y'know what? There'd be none. Eating nothing but meat is unhealthy.

As long as we're including all possible dire variants, lets not forget the Dire Lemmings!

More likely though, I expect there to be an appearance of virtually all the strongest critters available in the monster manual. And perhaps even a few large groups of the second to the strongest critters. Unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with the available monsters to offer many suggestions.
