The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a cramped, rectangular room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a bracket by the sole door visible in the room.

There is a door at A-1, west side.

I will poke the door with my 10ft pole to check it for traps...

(I felt like I've done this before :smallwink:)

Tanaric

Tada, it's trapped! Surprise!

What next?

theterran

Attempt to open the door with the 10ft pole!

If that fails, I'll try and spring the trap with the 10ft pole!

You do both at once! Amazing! Now with bonus exclamation marks for no good reason! :smalltongue: We're excited about this, folks! We're gonna make it all the way to room two this time!

Can't tell you what you see though, since I don't have my maps available at the moment.

Hey...I made it all the way to the swordsage kobold last time :smalltongue:

Tanaric

I don't count the first room as a challenge, since you literally cannot die without attacking yourself here. :smalltongue:

You could burn yourself to death on the torch :smalltongue:

Opening the door reveals a hall running to the north and south. To the north, it runs for ten feet before turning east. To the south, it runs for forty feet before turning east.

I'll head the north route, using my 10ft pole to check for traps, tripwires, pressure plates and such.

Tanaric

You find a tripwire five feet to the north.

At the bend, the hall continues east for thirty feet before turning south. After ten feet, there is a short (five foot) hallway ending in a door on the north side.

I'll test the door with the pole.

After testing the door with the pole, I'll put the pole away and draw out my spiked chain before opening the door.

Opening the door reveals the following room:{table]|A_|B_|C_|D_|E_|F_|G_

There is a door at B-7 which you are standing just outside of, another at A-5, and a third at G-4.

There are three elves in the room. Two (2,3) are holding longswords, while the third (1) is holding a longbow. All wear studded leather armor and have bucklers strapped to their arms.

Roll initiative.

Hit and down. Anything else, or is your turn done?

I'll move to C2 and end my turn.

You get an arrow from the elf with a bow before he moves to the southeast corner, then the remaining sword elf moves to C-3 and attacks you.

Ok, so I have a Spiked Chain, and am within 10ft of the elf with a bow, and he fires in melee, giving me AoO, correct? Or was that an oversight? :smallwink:

Tanaric

That was me not realizing you had a spiked chain. But you do get an AoO, yes. Two, if you have combat reflexes.

theterran

Sadly, I don't :smallfrown:

Against the Bow guy since he did it first.

(edit)

If you'd like to reroll the sword elf's stuff, go for it.
