I can't believe I just noticed this. There's an unearthed arcana variant for a summoner that allows you to cast summoning spells as a standard action. And the tenth level of master specialist from complete mage allows you to cast all conjuration spells that take a standard action as a swift action. A wizard 3/ Master Specialist 10 can automatically quicken all their conjuration spells with no increase in spell levels. That is awesome.:smallamused:

Just keep in mind that the Master Specialist Major Esoterica is only usable 3/day. It doesn't auto-quicken everything.

Darn it! Curse me and my inability to read fine print!

Don't be so down about it. It's still a very good ability (IMO) when, if memory serves, the only other way to quicken spells without increasing their level is by taking Sudden Quicken Spell, which has... what, 5 or 6 other Sudden (Metamagic) Spells as prereqs. Uhh... IIRC. There may be other ways.

It is indeed a very nice combo. I personally prefer the Abjuration specialist (Personal Abjuration Spell -> Touch 3/day? Awesome).

Don't forget, the side benefits of taking it to 10: +2 Caster level with conjuration spells, Greater Spell Focus for free, Harder to dispel your spells, and +Caster Level hit points to your summons.

Meshes very well with Malconvoker and Paragnostic Apostle, which give moar summons and fast healing to them, respectively.

Also, isn't this the third summoning focused thread this week, or is it just me?:smallconfused:

Seeing things can put it in your subconscious. Therefore, the more Conjuration related threads there are, the more there will be, because people see little conjuration things pop up here and there, and it reminds them of an old question, or think up a new one. Something like that.

You make much sense. :smallamused: I will now think of a conjuration-based homebrew class. Done.

It's like swiftblade. It showed up in a thread mid october after a long hiatus, and now there's been like a dozen threads about it. At one point we had 3 running simultaneously on the first page alone.

Still, that 3/day auto quicken is pretty awesome. Now I gotta go look at transmuter for my swiftblade. :)

I should pimp my Summoner base class. :smallamused:

You should see ToB stuff on the homebrew forum right now. There's like half a dozen threads about ToB that haven't seen posts in months that are suddenly full of activity (necro rules are laxer on the homebrew forums for fairly obvious reasons).

Pathfinder released a beta for a new class, and these forums thrive on looking at other peoples concepts and wanting to do it.

The van is always at the corner.

This is a principle that "the van is always at the corner" because one only notices the van when it is indeed parked at the corner, not the times when it is gone.
