There are benefits to being up at college and having one's own laptop. If you want the original, I can post it up quick-like.

But all the same, I fail to see how anyone could take offense to this picture if they're not against anime girls as a whole. I mean, there's absolutely nothing explicitly fanservicey about the picture, it's just Saber being gorgeous in a kimono.

I have a loop going. One computer has photos and other such scene things that can fit the screen, while the other has 1080p screenshots of '5cm per Second' and 'Place Promised in our Early Days' cycling. Such a scenic anime.
Too lazy to get my other monitor on here, so you only get my gaming one :P

I'm not going to post my wallpaper for a couple of reasons. Primarily, I don't have a single wallpaper, I've set it to a 30 second random shuffle of my "Wallpapers" folder, which contains around 200 images. And most of those images come from 4walled, which is a 4chan image scraper, so... yeah.

Right-click the FireFox icon and hit properties.
There should be a "Change Icon" button on the Shortcut Tab (Second tab at the top); click that.
Locate where you put the image.
Select the image.

Well I have Vista, and first of all, Firefox only reads and accepts .ico icon files. Everything else will give you "the file (1125632315584.png) contains no icons."

That has nothing to do with firefox. It's all windows's fault. Just google for a .ico converter, and you should be able to solve the problem by converting the image to a format micros***t accepts.

My fullsize wasn't even 1mb. So...Yeah. Albient I am using photoshop. but still. Pretty sure GIMP has quality settings as well.

This was also only 55kb full size no compression...It's my HTPC wallpaper, only it loops like, 25 wallpapers like this.

Yeah, I could resave the image with setting the jpg quality down. But it's not like it matters anymore, as I've already posted the resized one. Using IrfanView.

I run Window Vista Home Premium
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000
I upgrade to 7 over break.

The icons are Spirited Away icons from an artist on deviantART, will post link if requested.

The operating system is altered via a program known as StyleSelector, allowing me to use custom VisualStyles on Vista.

I have an ObjectDock.

I have DreamScapes, but I don't use it. It's too distracting.

The only time I ever posted my photos on an art site was a Russian photography forum for C&C. It's one of the few places I know of that both have a high response rate and where people would tell you exactly what they think, usually along the lines of:

"Take your camera. Take a hammer. Smash one with another. Never touch another camera ever again if you value others' sanity."

Which can be contrasted with telling you that it's great even when it sucks.

On DA I could probably get C&C but I would have to go through the whole pain of it being a Myspace for artists, become friends with people, talk to them, etc, for C&Cing - something too energy intensive for me when I only do this because I like taking nice pictures with no goal other than hang them up on a wall once in a blue moon.

Completely fair. I use DevArt more for my cg, but my photos *seem* to get appreciated, so I upload them occaisonally. I don't really use it for all the myspace crap that comes with it though. Laughing at how bad some people are is occaisonally good though :O

I do like the sound of that russian site though. Critique like that is near impossible to come by.
