could one tape an animal to a weapon, dead or willing? therefor i could kill something with poison and tape it to the weapon (i remember seeing a rat-flail in a different comic some time ago)

I don't know of any official rules for using dead animals as improvised weapons, but if you're in the kind of campaign where wielding a WBWDTT is viable there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to.

If you are attempting to build a Spiked Rat Chain, I think you are deserving of the 20d6 smite damage.

There are no official rules for using corpses as weapons, but there are the screwy* improvised weapon rules in Complete Warrior.
*They just don't work well for a number of reasons.

Cruel Harvest
You are useful even in death.
Requirements: Kobold, Gnome or Goblin
Benefit: Upon death, each of your four limbs may be considered a medium sized club that may be picked up as a move action.

I once made a druid build who threw two animal companions sovereign-glued together. One was a pouncer with the Battle Jump feat, the other spit acid.

are you invoking the wrath of greatest weapon of all, the gunsphere?
my group still doesn't know what a gunsphere is, but as per the pen-written chicken scratch in my buddy's Basic D&D book, it's 100GP so it's got to be awesome.
awesomely dangeresque.
one would imagine that a gunsphere, tied to opposing end of a rat-flail would cause the world to explode in swordchucks. or chainsawchucks. or chuckchucks. or woodchuckchucks.
or you could get yourself the rare bil-de-bec-de-corbin-voulge-guisarme-guisarme-voulge-chucks. those are bad ass. like, i think it costs 2 exotic weapon profs AND weapon focus to use.
