I think we better climb both to the top of a building, Color Spray can't reach us there. I can throw the Grappling hook, so we can both climb. Even if Ro-Gayn uses Scorching Ray on any of us, I've got plenty of CLW potions... I can even buy more... What do you think?

@Abogralia

Nice win, not looked over the match yet. I agree that climbing would be a good idea, but my ranged ability sucks. I am thinking to buy a few alchemist's item: fire/frost and the like or maybe a ranged weapon. What do you think?

Your ranged attacks may suck, however you would suck more if you stay in range of their Color Sprays...

I wanted to ask you... both of them have some strange Fire-related feats... any of those gives them protection against, let's say, Alchemist Fires?

A crossbow would be nice, I dunno if it is allowed, but I have rapid reload, I could reload it for you :smalltongue:

Anyways, climbing seems the way to stay outside their ....... Color sprays hehehehe

And that last match was all excitement!!!! You gotta read it! I saved your skin just in the most dramatic-ish moment hehehehehe

@Abogralia

The feat are mainly CL buffs for damage. Getting hit with a 3-5d6 Kelgore's is a quick way to die. And I agree the color sprays will cause problems. I have to say, the low Hp/AC, would mean to hit them hard and fast. I'll spend the cash on a invisibility potion and get close to Ro. I suggest, since you can do archery very good, that you buy a fire resistance potion. Any thought?

Since your climb mod was still positive and the DC was 0, you didn't have to roll for Climb; skill checks aren't affected by natural 1s, so it was an auto-succeed. Just for future reference.

I am sorry for the delay everyone, but my area was hit by a snowstorm and we lost power on the 18th of Dec and came back on just yesterday. Thankfully the phones came back on as well, they were predicting at least another couple of days.

Spell failure wouldn't matter, would it? Since you made the save, I'd think you would take 0 damage thanks to the energy resistance. I'd have mentioned that in public but I don't know if he knows you have that.

Oh, since I don't think it was mentioned before, I believe the DC on the Fort save Random has to make to survive is 20 (10+10 damage dealt). Although as a Warforged I guess he also has a percentage chance to negate the damage, right? I remember that happening when Sallera and I CDG'ed him in an earlier match this round.

Ok then, here is the Fort Save: [roll0] and here is the Fortification check: [roll1] 25 and lower to negate. Also doesn't my DR stop any of the damage being done? If I am still invisible wouldn't he need to roll a miss chance to hit me?

You are correct about the DR, actually, but as that was a CdG, there wasn't a miss chance. At any rate, even with the lower damage, you failed the save.

Actually, would there be a miss chance? CdG's don't require attack rolls, but I don't know that they're also immune from needing a check to hit a character with total concealment. Might be the first time it's ever come up, invisible characters typically aren't CdG'd.

It takes an extra consecutive full-round action to CdG someone with total concealment. Bray took the two rounds, it's mentioned in the ref spoilers up there.

It is a... rare occurance, the way I read it was as automatically hitting, so even if there was a miss chance it'd still hit. I'm willing to go with whatever a ref rules if you want to challenge it. Not that it should matter at this point. I knew Scorer had too fail a save he had a good chance of making to do any damage at all, and even then it would leave him on a flat 0. And now I'm on fire... well, I'm not optimistic.
