I was just rereading the comics, when I reached comic 60. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0060.html)
In panel 11, there is a speech balloon in the air: "We couldn't wake Durkon."
Who exactly says this?

Why? Because they couldn't wake Durkon and that fact needed to be transmitted to the party leader (and also the reader). Who? Does it matter? :smallconfused:

It was probably either V or Belkar. Any particular reason you want to know? Not to seem rude, but it seems like a really insignificant thing...

its roy... what he is saying is "we couldnt wake durkon, i think karma just evened the score" wich didnt fit in 1 balloon, i think rich just forgot to draw a line from one balloon to the other

It was either Belkar or V, because they were the ones trying to wake Durkon in #58. The contraction (which V never uses) makes it Belkar.

It couldn't have been Roy, because he was responding to the statement, as below:

Belkar: "We couldn't wake Durkon."
*Hilgya falls off the Linear Guild escape train*
Roy: [smiling] "I think karma just evened that score."

Meaning that even though their cleric is out of commission, the LG is now down a cleric as well.

It could have been Elan, who was woken up after. I think that makes more sense, since Belkar wouldn't really be that concerned with telling Roy what's going on.

Haley wasn't trying to wake Durkon, though - she was concentrating on her shot. Considering that Belkar was the one who searched him, and given that he's just walked right up to Roy as it's said, I'd say it was most likely Belkar.
