I'm curious as to whether someone here has seen a Monk fix that fixes the basic issues with it as well as adding maneuver progression.
...And yes I am aware that Swordsage is the right answer. But I'm trying to gently convert someone to the way of the Tome by modifying a class they like, specifically the Monk.
Thanks in advance.

Wanting to get your "monk fix" eh?
There are lots of "fixes" around. Most of them involve either ToB or psionics. There's one that I believe uses incarnum, though.
Can't seem to find them off-hand, though.
[edit] And I'm ninja'd monked by someone far more useful than I.

That one is nice, but I think it's a little too stripped down from the original Monk to make this person comfortable.
I'll try it if there's nothing else, but anyone else have anything?

A little to stripped down? What are the features that it seems to be missing?

She seems to be complaining about the lack of Quivering Palm, mostly.

....
The once per week ability that has a really easy save, and you only get it at high levels?
Seriously, that's one of the first things changed in most Monk fixes: if you want to add it back in, it wouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, probably.
Players are cranky things.
