The sun rises on the Material plane, and with its light comes a new layer, unsensed and unforseen. The thin film of semi-reality slips across the land, mirroring the material plane in every respect, save one; in places, eddies of this unreality sweep over entities. The entities of unknown origin slowly stir to life, or wake up; they aren't particularly sure which. These entities know themselves as gods, but virtually nothing else. One thing is sure, though; they will shape:

Turn 1.1
Seeing that his mountain, though tall and awesome, could not sustain the heavy onslaught that would one day surely be lauched upon it, Lan begins his life changing his Mountain. On the Unplane he is fat, raising cliffs and rocks s as to give himself more protection. These cliffs are much sharper as they reach the top, where a small tower rises, atop which Lan shall dwell.
Though the cliffs are imposing, nothing compares to Lan's Star. A shining beacon of pure light, visible all throughout the Unplane and Lan's proudest achievement.

Turn 1.0, Ki

Ki awoke. He knew but his name, and a purpose. He wondered what kind of power created him. His eyes gazed upon the Unplane. Cold and lifeless. His gaze came to rest upon his hands. Hair brushed past his ears. He wore a white tunic and sandals, from the looks of it. He peered under the cloth. He was male.

Ki scratched his head and straightened. He turned around and saw two dolls on the ground next to him. One represented a female. One represented a male. Maybe his mom and dad had left him a present. But where were they?

He walked for days, searching for a sign of life, but the bareness of the Unplane made it difficult to perceive distance or direction. Bored and somewhat tired, He sat down and played with his dolls. He named the man Ark. He named the woman Clarity. They were definitely his favourite things in the world.

After playing a while, he sat up again, dolls well in hand.

"Stay close, mom, dad. I'll protect you from this place."

He slid them between his tunic and his torso. Their presence was somewhat reassuring in this strange world. He was curious though, curious about it all. What was he doing here?

"Why did you bring me here?"

He knew he had power. Something inside of him welled up against the walls of his being and told him he had a great strength within. But he did not know where to direct it.

"There's nothing here!"

Impatience made him agitated. One of his dolls slipped through the tunic and fell on the ground. At least that's what he thought. He looked down and it disappeared, vanished right through the ground. Something suddenly felt out of place. A new vision came to him. He could still see the Unplane, yet his sight was split in half. With the other half showing him... something else. Another world.

He sat down, dazzled, and watched through the eyes of Ark on what he would come to know as the Material Plane.

Turn 1.0, Amorosor

He felt it. He felt every single entity in existence. It was almost a haze of emotions. The unparalleled fear of the dying as their fates came to pass. The unbridled rage of the betrayed as they inflict their brutal fury upon those that offended them. The boundless sorrow of the lost as what they longed for remains so far out of their reach. The vast splendor of the blissful as they found joy in their lives. The immeasurable pleasure of the yearning as they finally sated their desires. He could feel it all. It felt so very far away and yet he could also feel it coursing through his very being.

His skin tingled with sensitive paranoia, guarding him from the world and remaining ever vigilant. His muscles ached with rage unspent, his fingers clenching around whatever they could grasp. His muscles were soothed by the icy flows of sorrow that pulsed though his heart. He took a breath of the joys of the world, filling his chest with life and activity. He pulled himself into a sitting position; the rage giving him strength, but lust was his core and gave everything else its structure with desire. His eyes opened for what seemed like the first time, but felt like he had done it countless times before. His gaze surveyed all that was around with acceptance of what was and what could be.

He looked down at his body; clad in fear to protect the rest from the world outside, but he knew that such fears weren’t unnecessary, he could feel it. It wasn’t until he caught sight of the symbol on his armored hand that he could make sense of it all. He peered at the symbol, his symbol, in awe as he felt it all come in a rush. He was Amorosor, emotions incarnate, and he could feel all the desires of all others, but they did nothing to mask his own yearnings. With that thought, he clenched his fist and stood; he would not strengthen his connection by merely sitting there doing nothing.

Turn 1.2

Amorosor stormed across the realm, his gaze hunting for what he could feel, but this place was bleak and held nothing of what he could feel. Every time he seemed to find a cluster of emotions, there was no one to be found and the things present hardly felt things. He had lost count of the number of clusters that he had searched for only to find just as little as he did on his last hunt, perhaps dozens but that hardly mattered when there was nothing upon reaching each destination. Amorosor stopped over one, he could sense that many were joyous in this cluster, a few envious, one in particular was prideful; but again his eyes could see nothing. He could also feel a number of lesser emotions of fear scurrying away from the joyous ones, there was another weaker one, terror and pain consumed what little it had the capacity for.

Amorosor glared into the empty space for a few moments before closing his eyes and crossing his arms to fight the agitation that strained his body threatening to crush all in its pursuit. Taking in deep breaths of joy and focusing on his pulse of sorrow helped quell his tight anger; it was there that he felt it, the threads of feeling that tied him to this place. They were tenuous and thin, but he could feel them, he could feel exactly where they were coming from; he could trace the lines to those just below him, the pack that resided in a place he wasn’t. However he could follow the lines, they moved to places he simply couldn’t go; but he knew what he could do.

Amorosor opened his eyes and stared at the vaguely defined terrain, he could almost see the emotional threads. He reached out cautiously and caught one in his armored hand, dragging it close he studied it, fascinated at how it felt and peered. He stroked it with his other hand, testing it, seeing if it had give or was tight, if it was durable or brittle, if it was coarse or sharp. Amorosor quickly found that its properties differed depending on what emotion was passing through them, and touching them was nearly painfully intense to him. Though, he was taken by surprise when it changed when he wondered how it would change if anger was flowing through it and it shifted to match his whims, but almost immediately he questioned just how much he could alter these threads. With that he released the string of emotions, desiring it to remain exactly where it was when he held it, and much to his unsurprised mentality, it did not move from its position.

It took only a few minutes for him to form the threads into a body, much like his own but different; this one had a weaker connection to the emotions then he did. Amorosor took a step towards the lifeless thread puppet and put one hand on its chest, and willed the threads of emotions into it, to draw some of the power into it. Great winds of sucked towards the entity seeping in between the threads of emotions filling it with the stuff of the plane and Amorosor’s will. Abruptly torrent of winds subsided the puppet slumped onto Amorosor’s armor clad arm, then it slow rose looking up at the god blinking a few times, it’s glowing eyes hidden behind a vale.

”You know what I am?” Amorosor demanded of the living threads that slowly found its feet looking at him. ”Me?” The new entity responded in an ambiguous voice, Amorosor dropped his arm to his side and nodded. ”We are the same threads. My will is yours and your will is mine. We are one, with you we are free.” ”With you we are eternal.” The new entity finished for Amorosor. ”We are one and together we will sate our desires.” They both said in unison. ”You are Amorosor.” The puppet stated first. ”You are Legatus.” Stated Amorosor before Legatus nodded in confirmation. ”I shall express our freedom and seek our desire.” Legatus stated before dropping out of Amorosor’s sight and to the place where he could feel the others that felt were. He could sense Legatus better then any other entity to exist, not only because they were the same, but because Legatus was a conduit for emotions as well, mayhap not as powerful of one, but more so.

Turn 1.9 Ki

This was fun. In his mind, at least. He had no idea how to take his avatars back from the Material Plane however. He tried thinking it, he tried calling them back loudly. Nothing worked. He considered one moment how they actually appeared to disappear through the ground itself. Lying flat against the floor, he put his hand against the ground and pressed hard.

His hand went through.

It took a little practice, but soon Ki pulled his two avatars out of the Material Plane and back into the Unplane.

"Welcome back, Mom, Dad!"

He hugged them happily and looked around once more. The Unplane was a little less scary now that he knew that it wasn't the only thing in the world. Closing his eyes, he breathed deeply, allowing his conscious mind to expand in the void of this dimension.

He was curious about this plane of existence, and he intended to find out more about it.

Spending first turn researching the Unplane/fabric of existence rather than miracles or crafting.

Ki discovers that the Unplane is a much less permanent place than the material plane, which he's interacted with through his avatars; mere thoughts from Ki can change the landscape, and his form on the unplane, which is exactly as defined as he thinks it is, seems to warp and shape the very fabric of reality around it. In the pit of his being (a living creature would call it a gut), it sort of feels like being a very heavy weight on a rubber sheet that just barely supports its weight. He can shift around, but he seems to drag the material around with him.

While experimenting with altering the nature of the Unplane, Ki discovers that with concentration, he can create bits of the Unplane that take on a much coarser tone of reality than other objects on the Unplane. These objects seem as real as objects on the Material plane, though they also appear to exist in the Unplane. It looks like the objects may even travel to the material plane if they're put into the hands of one of his Avatars.

He also discovers that if he concentrates hard enough, alterations that he makes to the Unplane can bleed through, slowly, into the material plane. He discovers this after the crude hut and pillow nest he shaped with his thoughts on the Unplane created something curious on the material plane; a drift of sand dunes was first windblown into a circular shape, and then moisture accumulated in the inward walls of the dune; small grasses took root in the dunes, solidifying them, and then more and more sand blew over until a chamber approximately the same size and shape of the Unplane hut had appeared on the Material plane. Dispelling the hut on the Unplane led to evaporation from the dunes, which caused the grass to die, and the dunes blew away; in the course of about a year, Ki was able to verify this by playing with various shapes in the desert floor.

His examinations then turn to his own nature; when he dispells all the notions of a form that his own personality has arranged, he observes that the core of his being seems to be two things; two drollops of raw is, that he can best define as "Living Energy", and "Fertility". All else about his form in the Unplane is pretense around, and by, those two nuggets of reality. It is around those two entities (which he will term "domains") that the Unplane warps, and seems stretched to its very limit to accommodate.

All of these things, Ki seems to have known from the start, at least in some corner of his mind. His research does reveal something completely novel, however:

((Frenchie's eyes only))

The domains that are part of his being are not the only bits of true reality present in the Unplane. If he focuses his attention in precisely the right way, he can notice that there seem to be "domain bits" scattered throughout the landscape in a semi-random manner. He locates one in his own Hex on the Unplane, but no matter what he tries, he cannot seem to integrate it into his being; something is missing, and the reality shard seems to flit away at Ki's approach.

After Ki has attained some followers from the Varadesh, Ki notices that the Unplane around him seems to have stabilized somewhat; the degree of warping of the plane has lessened, and he feels less like a watermelon supported by saran wrap.

Ki has developed the "Sense UnReality" ability; this allows him to see Domain Shards, and investigate certain other Unplane anomalies he encounters.

Turn 1.2 – 1.5, Amorosor

While Legatus was exploring a world he was excluded from, interacting with entities that he would never meet; Amorosor studied. He was quite interested in the experiences that he and Legatus shared, but his fascination was largely fixated on the threads that linked creatures to their feelings. He was interested in how they interacted with him, how they interacted with the place where he resided. Amorosor wondered if they could be influenced by him, by this realm, or if they were the ones influencing him and this realm. There was much he wished to learn about these tenuous strings that drifted through this realm.

Turn 1.6 – 1.9, Amorosor

Finally sating his curiosity, or more likely sufficiently aggravating him enough to finally halt his research on the feeble threads that drifted calmly through the area. Though, something had been bothering him, something was prying into his thoughts, he could feel it, it was no emotion. It wasn’t so much an unpleasant feeling, just one that he didn’t fully understand, there was actually something empowering about the feeling actually. He didn’t fully understand it, but for giving him such a feeling he wanted to return a feeling, perhaps not the same feeling though one that was pleasant. With that thought he closed his eyes and focused on those that were stimulating him with these feelings. He took a deep breath of joy and released it, causing a mist to filter out from the cracks in his armor. Amorosor wanted this to be a gift just for those who bless him so, infusing the mist with his will as it spread on winds that only he could feel.

Turn 1 is Over. Turn 2 Begins Now.

@Wykliffe: Wykliffe's research into the cause of the earthquakes in the Red Hills is simple; he simply begins to peel away the layers of earth in the Unplane with his will, inspecting each layer below ii for the cause of the earthquakes. When he has removed tens of kilometers from the hole in the Unplane, Unplane magma quickly erupts from the hole in the ground. It doesn't harm Wykliffe, as with a thought he can set the magma back in its place (a good idea, considering the previously mentioned connection between what happens on the Unplane and what happens on the Material plane). It appears that this is the case all over the region; underground influxes of magma are melting rocks and releasing pent-up pressure in the rocks, which is causing the hills above to rock and shake.

Wykliffe, Turn 2.1, I-19

Wykliffe feels the power of his new worshipers flow through him, and channels quite a bit of it into his ability to appear on the mortal plane. He picks up a handful of godstuff and goes to work crafting his new emissary to the mortals that will one day worship him.

Ki, Turn 2.0

Things were a bit more stable. For now. The scary feeling that had been produced by the Unplane had now vanished. The link between the Plane where he existed and the one the Varadesh existed on seemed obvious, but some strange part of him said that there was much more to discover. For a moment, he was tempted to delve even further into this new world. There was, after all, so many questions that needed answering.

Was he truly alone?

Some part of him refused to believe that was the case. If, after all, there are pieces of domains floating in each hex, and they seem to be unable to adhere to his being, then they must belong to some other entity. Or at least, they were meant to be used in some way.

But he didn't really know for sure. And where were they, anyway? How far did the world go? Was there an end to things? What about the Varadesh, were they alone on this land of theirs?

Ki seemed to ponder, but he only had limited time to spend wondering, and there was things he had meant to do. He had followers now, and they needed to be helped and tended to. He could hear and understand their prayers. They seemed so trivial, and yet, this belief of theirs made him grow in many different ways.

First, his avatars were more knowledgeable. Somehow. Clarity and Ark saw what the Varadesh could do. They copied this knowledge, and bettered it. They were now in a position where they could even teach them. Not only that, but they had now another companion. Its coming to be is a complete mystery. As Ki rested in his hut, a peculiar dream took shape. He did not know he was capable of sleeping like the mortals, much less dreaming, but this strange event gave birth to this third avatar. Exactly alike to its dream counterpart, the avatar looked like a Varadesh. It had copper skin and had knowledge imbued within his core. Knowledge that Ki had never really imagined he had. Something told him he was familiar with those things, but none of them were really in his head until his avatar formed out of this slumber of his.

Ki decided to name him Varad. After the Varadesh.

There was a few things Ki wanted to do. And they were all going to take some time. First he needed to figure out a way to bring his followers together. It would be easier to handle and impress them. The second thing he wanted to do was send one of his avatars away to see how far it could go on the Material Plane.

And finally, the third thing. He wanted to try out something like shaping the landscape in the world of Mortals. But not exactly landscaping as much as exerting his very essence on some of the beings. That was the third and last experience he'd do. Then he'd take a walk to see if he could find some more of those interesting domain shards elsewhere. Maybe he'd find a playmate.

Shaping all influenced Varadesh hexes. Reducing by three quarters the reproduction rate of the RiverBeasts in those.
Miracle +Path, Create. In his effort to bring his followers together, Ki thought of the possibility of creating paths to link and bring them together.

Ki then moves to G-27 and uses his Sense Unreality ability in the area.

Turn 2.X, Amorosor and Legatus, V24/U25 Border

Legatus stood at the edge of the power field that seemed to separation sections of the world, feeling Amorosor’s power wafting across the invisible barrier in the bleak existence that Amorosor was trapped in. The heavy and armored figure paced to the edge of the other side of the barrier, seeming to sense the same thing that Legatus had felt; though both shared feelings not all of them translated well. ”I feel your sorrow and distress Legatus. What do you want?” Amorosor nearly demanded, his tone was already preceded by the light agitation that Legatus felt from the more substantial of the two beings. ”The Lükaverka are suffering; their lands are upset. It makes hunting for them difficult.” Legatus explained, the emotions that echoed in Amorosor’s being, letting him know everything he wished from Legatus.

Amorosor’s deep glare bore down upon Legatus who almost flinched and shared the anxiety that almost seemed to eat at Legatus’ gut with Amorosor. ”Fine, we shall force the land to our will.” Amorosor stated firmly taking in a deep breath of untainted, unmolded feeling; it was a blank and dull feeling that filled him. Legatus could hardly comprehend the feeling that Amorosor held in, and then the feeling sharpened, almost painful even to such entities. Amorosor released the rage he had stirred within the emotions, it misted out between the cracks in his armor with such force that the crossed the barrier almost unhindered. The anger and forcefulness of the mist stung at even Legatus’ veiled eyes and agitated the protected skin that lay beneath the robes that Legatus hid beneath.

It took a few moments for Legatus to recover from the rage that overwhelmed every sense indiscriminately, though when Legatus could finally look around there was an amazing sight. The rage was altering the realm, imposing its extremely forceful nature upon the land directly; making the very environment change according to the will of Amorosor. ”Amazing…” Legatus murmured as Amorosor took in another breath of hallow emotions, but they quickly changed as they made contact with the remnants of the rage in Amorosor’s being. Legatus quickly flinched away putting a thick layer of fear up to ward off the next blast of rage that Amorosor released that spread just as far as the first round. Though the rage stung at Legatus even through the barrier of fear, there was something different about this onslaught; it wasn’t as intense, there was a light feeling peace that eased in afterwards.

Legatus lowered the cloth of fear and looked at Amorosor as he took another deep breath of empty feelings, but as they entered him they did not change into rage, instead they absorbed the peace and calm that remained after the hatred had disappeared. Amorosor’s final wave held none of the malice and rage that the previous two had, it was calm and refreshing. The peace wafted out and spread as opposed to the explosion of rage; it seemed to hover above the thick painful rage that worked the land itself, as if waiting for its turn. ”There, it is done. It will take time for the rage to dissipate and the peace to sooth the land from its fresh molding, but it is done.” Amorosor stated firmly with just a hint of his cold demeanor, Legatus bubbled with joy at this news which Amorosor did not respond to.

”Then I shall inform the Lükaverka-“ ”No, you shall not.” Amorosor cut Legatus off coldly; Legatus could feel the agitation in Amorosor, though their wills and emotions were shared, they did not always agree. ”We have other matters to attend to. The Lükaverka already know our word, feel our will, and are blessed with our gifts. They will know who forced their salvation from the world that did not agree with them.” Amorosor informed Legatus almost harshly, Amorosor getting more agitated at the depression and hurt that replaced Legatus’ joy so quickly. ”Alright, what must we do?” Legatus asked conceding to the stronger of the two wholes, this alleviated some of Amorosor’s agitation. ”There are others, I feel them. We shall seek them out as we have the Lükaverka.” Amorosor stated firmly before turning to walk along the barrier towards his desired destination.

Legatus glanced back at the Lükaverka lands, suppressing a desire to see those people once more. ”We shall see them again Legatus. We won’t be far from them.” Amorosor claimed interrupting Legatus’ thoughts. ”Alright.” Legatus answered so quietly that Amorosor couldn’t hear before turning and beginning their journey.

Ki wondered.

He was tempted to do some more exploring of the world this time. He closed his eyes and let his eyes encompass his current vision of space. He then allowed for doors to create themselves, manifestations of where he had the impression there was more to learn about this world he lived in.

He chose one, opening it slowly.

Researching the world for this turn.
