Look at 0695l (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0695.html) panel 6. Haley's top actually flairs up as she runs. They weren't kidding when they said that was soft studded leather armor.

This surprised me considerably because it's such a small detail I think most people aren't going to notice it, and if I was doing the art I certainly would have been far to lazy to add it.

So in conclusion, Rich is better at this "comic" thing than I would ever be.

Link's broken. Here's a better link: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0695.html

Rich being awesome really isn't that surprising...

Eeeehhhh... the Giant IS awesome mind you, but that particular effect just reinforces the impression that Haley's "armor" is nothing further than a spaghetti-strap top from the mall (http://www.crowbry.co.uk/images/spaghetti_strap_top.jpg). Which sadly doesn't do much to assuage my dislike of it.

A minor quibble in an epically awesome comic of course

But that's exactly the point. Haley's new armor is a parody of the standard fantasy female "armor". It's stated about as directly as it gets.

Thanks to Lathund, I never would have noticed the broken link.

And I agree with Harr, that particular parody isn't one that I find particularly funny. But you have to admire Rich's commitment to his art despite the simplistic style.
