A critical hit. On the alchemic fire. Why couldn't that have been a hoof?? Ah well, we take what we can get.

Incidentally, when reading through the PHB to make sure there weren't any critical hit exceptions for splash weapons, I noticed that splash damage seems to stack with direct hit damage. So that last hit should have been for 1d6+1+1 for 7 damage. I think it's too late to apply that to the first two alchemical weapon hits, but it's something to remember for future uses.

Really? Where's that, Psionic? Would be interesting to find out that splash weapons do a minimum of two damage per hit.

A hit deals direct hit damage to the target, and splash damage to all creatures within 5 ft of target

I'm reasonably certain the target creature is within 5 ft of itself, so it would takes direct hit damage plus splash damage on a direct hit.

Possible, but a bit dubious. If it said including the target that'd be one thing, but I think the nature of splash damage is that it's not going to add on. Not sure enough to rule either way.

Well, I tired to win this fast. Dense really did. But now, unless one of us gets lucky, this thing isn't going to end soon. I have a plan I was hoping not to use since it'll take 8+ rounds to implement, but at 2 hp, McT with a second buff up, and the AC buff ending soon I'm out of other options.

@RefsSeems to me that they should see each other, but just barely, because each is in the cloud but has to look through less than five feet of cloud from F21 to I19, and neither actually made a hide check. But I've been wrong before, so I'll let someone else make the call that LoS is established.p

Ref Questions:
Urgent Question: Did Dense hear anything with that juicy reactive listen check?

Not-so-urgent question(s): While the rules say oil pints need fuses to have a chance to work as improvised alchemical fire, it's a little fuzzy if the fuses on the resulting Molotov Cocktails must actually be lit. So:
1) Do Molotov Cocktails have to be lit?
2) If the Molotov Cocktails have to be lit, will the fuse smolder/burn indefineantly until thrown?
3) What happens if a Molotov Cocktail fails to ignite on impact? Will it be destroyed or available for reuse? If a fuse must be lit would it stay lit or require relighting?

Dense isn't quite ready to start passing out drinks, thus the not-urgant part, but I will be needing an official Ref ruling/blessing before the fireworks start in 2-6 rounds.

Dense
Looking over the rules, I'm fairly sure that the lighting of the fuse would be something done on the turn it is thrown. Meaning your full round action is to prepare the fuse for lighting (at which point the fuse stays in indefinitely), then you light it while throwing it as the standard attack action on the turn you intend to use it, whereupon it either becomes identical to an Alchemist's Fire, or it does not. If it fails to ignite, I suppose the fuse would be ruined, but otherwise it would still be a pint of oil. RAW-wise, it seems like it wouldn't break and oil up the ground, or else pouring out oil to do that would be unnecessary, since you could do so from a distance. I'm less sure about this than the first thing, but to me the most logical thing would be to say that a failed Molotov reverts back to just being a flask of oil, and if you were to retrieve it, you would need to spend another full-round action refitting it with a new fuse in order to try again.

Dense' kinda needed the gold. By winning here he also automatically gets at least the 600gp 2nd place prize.

As far as new rounds go you may not be waiting all that long. Round delta is down to only 2 empty slots, and my guy Croysp would be delighted to team up with McToughy for the win.

Ya know, for the sake of me not holding an eternal subconscious grudge for this horrible, terrible match, that sounds like a very good idea.

How many coins did MT bleed Dense for, anyway? You went through a good half dozen bolts, a couple (trio?) of molotovs, and a pair of alchemists fires or so, right? MT was down to 6 HP and 2PP on that last round.

Let see, the round lasted for 30 rounds, 58 attack rolls, and 82+ points of damage dealt.

In that time Dense expended:
11 bolts (1.1 gp) (I'm not going to try figuring out which were destroyed)
1 potion (50 gp)
1 psionic tatoo (50 gp)
1 oil pint (1sp) (the other two used were recovered)
5 alchemest fire (100 gp)

Total cost of victory: 201.2 gp.
Which is somewhat more than a Scroll of Invisibility and somewhat less than a Potion of Invisibility.
