FYI, you can't see if Seon 'ends his turn', so your last readied action didn't actually occur.

Why not? Its a valid trigger. You have to end your turn (or delay or something, in which case the trigger is just the end of initiative count X) for mine to begin.

People have been readying actions in such a fashion for a while in arena.

You don't know I'm ending my turn till I do. And if you act 'after' my turn is over, your initiative moves to after me, and I get to act again.

Or, to state it with rules


Your initiative result becomes the count on which you took the readied action. If you come to your next action and have not yet performed your readied action, you don’t get to take the readied action

After my turn, is your turn. When my action ends, your action begins, before you do your readied action - thus the readied action doesn't occur.

No, a readied action happens just before the trigger is about to happen. At least thats how we are running it in arena. Here is a thread where tanaric just readies to move every time I end my turn

You don't magically know I'm doing something because you readied an action - you can only react against what you know.

Also, something that happened in another battle is not my problem - it's strictly between you, someone else, and the referees (who you didn't ask help from).

OK, skip the readied actions. Also I confused myself, you started on the right I was on the left, so rewind

Round 1
Start in B14 with same conditions
Move to C22
keith reads the piece of paper on round 1 after moving, drops it and grips the guisarme in 2 hands

Round 2
Move to J24
Ready an actionMove if Seon moves or manifests a power

Would those change your actions in any way?

OK first off, the rules are that we can see each other ready actions (even if they are purely mental).

Glass doesn't block line of effect, I'll get back to you with explanation in a minute.

He can Mind Thrust you for the same reason that in the first picture, the guy shooting doesn't suffer Cover penalties.

Granted, you have Cover or even Improved Cover (for +8 AC/Reflex), but no Total Cover - I'm not targeting your AC nor your Reflex.

Again, you did not ready an action (or did not declare that you did). You "seem to be doing nothing" which is not readying an action.

There is no line you can draw to any corner of my square that does not go through glass (there is glass to my south and to the east). The glass blocks line of effect. Look at the map above, it says clearly that the glass blocks line of effect, you cannot manifest powers through the glass.

You cannot make tumble checks untrained. And if you could, you have a -4 check penalty which would drop your tumble modifier to -1. In which case you fail.

No, there is no where you can manifest or move where you will not provoke an Aoo. You can rewind your turn (I'll let you keep that damage roll). I am assuming you are going to manifest your power then attempt to move, if you move first and then manifest I will take my aoo when you are about to gain cover or leave my threat range

Didn't know I couldn't tumble, since you kindly accepted rewind - I'll manifest Mind Thrust (for the 4 damage), but not move. (thus, I'm near you, but no AOO)

You still provoke an Aoo for manifesting unless you manifest defensively (DC 15 concentration check or lose the power)

I threaten out to 20 feet because I am weilding both a guisarme and spiked gautnlets

I believe expansion increases str by 2 the way Enlarge person does. I dont have my xph handy so if it does not decrease the damage by 1.

1 round duration is 'till the start of your next round', unlike True Strike, which states it lasts for your next round as well.

It started during your initiative count, it should last till your initiative count. It would be lasting more than '1 round' if you have it for 2 rounds.

I think you can burn more PP than 1 to get more resilience (not sure though)

Damage on that is [roll0] and I take 1 damage healing 2 which puts me at 5 hp

EDIT: THat damage roll should be 2d4+6 so add 2 to it (9)

You have a good chance of resisting the bull rush, in which case you are still prone but just 5 feet in front of me and you don't take damage [roll1] (forgot if it was +str or +1.5x str if its 1x str subtract 2)
