A halfling commoner who thinks he's a fighter.

And only takes the Toughness feat.

(In order of absurdity)

You are a traveling weapon merchant who has spent years fighting off bandits with your wares, now you've stumbled upon the enchanted scythe of Death's Greatest Hero in some farmer's barn.

You are the first-born son of a local baron who died while heavily in debt. Use your knowledge of ballroom etiquette and falconry to seek a fortune and reclaim your familial holdings.

You are the prophet of a strange new religious movement that proclaims that the gods all outsiders are merely representations of deterministic natural phenomena, and that the one True God would not sully itself with the affairs of the material plane.

You are a dwarf who has been cast from the mountain home after having his hair and beard ritually shaved off for a horrible Golem accident. As punishment, the council has decreed that you may not return until you have woven a single bolt from 1000 rogue constructs into your beard.

You are a Druid who has received a vision from the Land itself, and now you must plant apple trees in any location that man might reach. The hard part is going to be carrying the dirt to the far realm.

You are a monk of an obscure order dedicated to overcoming challenges, be they legitimate or otherwise. As such, you have personally invented the extreme sports of BASE Jumping, Portable Hole Diving, and Displacer Beast Rodeo.

You are dashing bard who is out to prove that you are world's greatest lover. Today the barmaid, tomorrow the Tarrasque.

Wearbear Barbarian/Bear Warrior. It's more than you can bear!

Wizard or Sorcerer focused on Prismatic or Pattern spells. Fits with Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil or Rainbow Servant. Robe of Scintillating Colors. Make people go blind. Only problem is that the Prismatic line is from several different schools.

Dwarven Fighter 1/Rogue wearing heavy armor, large shield, and a dwarven waraxe to backstab people in the face.

Warforged Monk/Kensai, enchanting your fist with the Throwing, Returning properities.

For that matter, Monk/Psionic Fist using Up The Walls and Jump checks to remain airborne for the entire combat.

Cleric of Atheism.

CG Barbarian/Paladin of Freedom. Divine Raging Smite!

Anthro Bear Werebear Bear Totem Barbarian Bearlord Bear Warrior, riding a Dire Bear mount.

Don't think I had a single complete sentence in this entire post.

Figure out if you can squeeze some wildshaping druid or ranger in there with a bear animal companion, also. Two bears just aren't enough.

Oh, just pick up Wild Cohort and Leadership, then apply them both to the same awakened bear Druid/Beastmaster, for an extra pair of Dire Bears.

He's already a bear that turns into a bear that gets so angry it turns into a bear, worships bears, and commands bears, all while riding a bear. He has enough bear.

Can I sig that?

Hmmm... a rogue acrobat from a traveling sideshow, on the run after stealing all of the show's earnings?

Use your knowledge of ballroom etiquette and falconry to seek a fortune and reclaim your familial holdings.

I could never play that; I don't do self-insertion.

How about a sorcerer who thinks he's a cleric? He considers arcane magic unholy.

How about a sorcerer who thinks he's a cleric? He considers arcane magic unholy.

That's difficult, due to the very nature of Arcane v. Divine.

Thinking he's a favored soul is another matter.

Sorcerors do not need to have high Intelligence or Wisdom. Nor do they need to have enough ranks in Know: Arcana or Know: Religion to know that.

Someone convinced that he is the prophet of Nerull, and that Nerull is a good god, focused on justice and equality. Using the Warlock class, just because you can. Gnomes optional.

Twins. A pair of small sized or (medium-sized children) twins. They use TWF, though it's actually one weapon each. Mechanically they'd count as one medium character.

A teenager, raised highly religious, who has sworn to never harm another living soul. Unfortunately, he's cursed by demons, who utterly destroy anything threatening him. Because of that, he's left home to avoid risking his family and friends.

Mechanically, he's a Necromancy/Evocation focused Sorcerer with a multitude of highly destructive and painful spells.

Human Paragon 3
2009-12-22, 01:29 AM
You're the human target. You use your mastery of disguise to take the place of assassination targets, then ferret out the assassin and end the threat. The only problem is, you're so good at impersonating others that you've forgotten who you actually are.

I'd accomplish this through Rogue or Bard and the Spymaster PrC from complete adventurer. Bard would probably be better for this particular application.

Also, Supermount. Because Supermounts are awesome.

Wearbear Barbarian/Bear Warrior. It's more than you can bear!

Oh, come on! We can get more bear into that. You're an Anthropomorphic Werebear bear Bear Totem Bear Totem (One's from UA, the other from CC, so I think this is still doable) BarBEARian, going Bear Warrior and Primeval, so you're always in quadruple bear form for combat.

And here I thought that it would be impossible to qualify for Beartouched Master! I could have sworn it required to actually be a shifter. Excellent!

You could play as a Sorcerer/Charlatan that's trying to convince people he's the prophet of a new god, but is really in it for the donations.

A Hill Giant Hedge Mage.

A Bender inspired Warforged Thief.

A chaotic monk.

A lawful barbarian.

A competent bard.

A human favored soul, a little cowardly, but with a big heart. Has no idea that he's directly channeling divine power or that he has powers at all. Refuses to believe any such thing could happen.

Orcs running at him with axes? He shrieks and throws up his hands, and down comes a Flame Strike. When he looks again, he gives the wizard a thumbs-up for the great Fireball she must've cast.

Friend goes down? Favored Soul runs over and puts his hand on his shoulder. "Hey man, you all right?" Cure X Wounds spell- I mean, what a miraculous recovery! "Regdar is tougher than I thought!"

Pick a profession or craft skill and focus on it so you can say "I'm just an X" when questioned, or play him young and say "I'm just a kid."

A Drow that's NOT a drizz't clone.If you're playing in FR...
A Lesser Drow Beguiler. Focused on Enchantment save DCs and penetrating SR.

You fled the Underdark to escape the persecution you faced for being weaker than your kin and for being good, and developed your talents to protect yourself from them and from the threats you faced in the underground. Your goal in life is to emulate, and hopefully meet, Drizz't, because he was the one that proved that Lolth can lose.

Also, all of the above is a lie. You're a Drow agent sent to Dominate Drizz't and send him on a murderous rampage before dragging him back to the Priestesses in chains.

Best if used with at least one Drizz't fanboy in the group.

Are you recommending we also shoot for druid, then beast master, so our BEAR can be followed around by a group of bears, albeit lesser though they are?Yes. Yes I am. Then add this:

The original goal was to create a melee weapon that caused bears to explode out of the unfortunate recipient. However, I opted to go above and beyond in pursuit of the spirit of the request. I present you with a simple trick:

Earthbound spell + ocular spell + lens of ray widening + summon nature's ally.

Contingency of the same, set to hit in melee, causes us to reload whenever someone tries to use us as a piņata. I recommend using spell dancer to load the metamagic into place properly, but a technique of your choice will probably satisfy equally well. I just like the idea of dancing to prepare bear-traps.

14 is a great level for a Binder - that's when he get's three vestiges. Also, level 14 is when a Hellbred character with the Body aspect gets his 3rd bonus Devil Touched feat.

Maybe something like Crusader 8/ Deepwarden 2 (for Con to AC)/ Deepstone Sentinel 10?
