Or Google, or Vimeo, etc.

Because I have some I want to impose on you.

First is a music video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcKxoQ9PR9k) I made for a friend using her song and clips from Beauty and the Beast. I think I did pretty good for a first effort.

Next, a movie trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwiVdgZMV-Y) for Once Upon a Time in the West that I made as a class project this semester.

Another class project was a feature piece (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeL1vwAIU9c) on another musician friend of mine that's a bit of a behind-the-scenes at one of her gigs.

I've been shooting a lot of local music performances and have put a few clips on that same YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/jbailey66#g/u), but here's a good example (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb2vRzQnIVs) of the kind of style I'm going for with more active and interesting camera movements rather than just holding a static shot throughout the song.

So, what kind of projects have you all been doing?

Just did another music video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM1hVmW7KUo) combining my friend's song with The Little Mermaid this time.

Why not? Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtAwW-_q-bw)'s an AMV I made for a class. It was an extra credit assignment to make some kind of fan work for a TV show. Naturally, every "fan work" I had made before was about video games (Mario and Advance Wars fan fiction, Let's Plays count as a fan work for video games I suppose). I couldn't think of any TV shows I'd want to write fan fiction for, and am pretty bad at drawing so that was out, so I went with an AMV. I picked "Twister" because it was a song I liked but also was sort, and picked BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo because it's my favorite show. So I put this together.

The annoying thing is that I spent hours trying to find clips that at least sort of fit the lyrics and arranging them properly, whereas some other people just drew pictures that probably took half an hour tops, and got the same amount of extra credit. Sigh...

For those wondering, yes, the clips make slightly more sense in context.

Very nice job on that. The clips worked well with the music, and the timing was spot on.

It's definitely a lot of work to do it right, so if nothing else, the experience has taught me respect for the practitioners of the art.
