Is there a weapon that is an exotic weapon that counts as a light mace?

Why? If Lightning Maces, Aptitude from ToB works.

You could weight the butt end of a short pole arm to create a double weapon, maybe. That sounds pretty exotic.

Why would you want to take EWP if light maces are a simple weapon?

If you make them out of a heavy metal such as gold or platinum (Magic of Faerun p. 179), then their damage goes up a step and they count as exotic weapons. You can no longer use Weapon Finesse with them, however.

Exotic Weapon Master?

Seems like an unnecessarily complicated way of doing so, though. I'm sure there's an easier way of going about that.

Thanks that's what i was looking for...

And yes i know about aptitude... I'm just not a fan of it.
Thank you though about the heavy metal ones i couldn't remember if that made them exotic.

If you made them from Kaorti Resin (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20031014a), their crit multiplier would be x4, and they would become exotic as well.

That's the first thing I thought of, but the x4 multiplier is for piercing or slashing weapons only.

It seems like you could still make a Kaorti Resin light mace, it would be exotic and not have the x4 crit. Why you would do this is a mystery, I'm expecting Exotic Weapon Master shenanigans.
