Day 2

You wake in the cave up to find the storm gone, but the clouds still very present, the result is a grayish sight overhead. Inside the cave a torch is lighting the way in almost invitingly. The torch lights the way for you and you see the hall narrowing to 5ft while it continues until it finally turns away and out of sight. The cave seems to have been made either in a hurry or naturally, as both the floor and the walls are very uneven.

The torch lights 40ft into the dungeon, 80ft with lowlight-vision, and you can see another 60ft with darkvision, the hallway narrows from 10ft to 5ft after 10ft, it then continues for 40ft until you see an open closed door to your left, it then continues another 65ft before turning right. The walls have a Climb DC15 and you need to succeed on a DC10 Balance check to run or charge.

Note: you can try and make a map yourself, or hope Adden finds some kind of map in the dungeon, but I will only give you small maps when there is combat, not a full map of the dungeon. :smallamused:

Adder, appearing to wear a partially-translucent shirt made of brown fur, and a strange mask bearing the faces of a dragon, lion, and ram hovering before his face, glances around the cave for a moment, frowning thoughtfully. Eventually, he shrugs and walks up the path towards the door.

Once standing there, he draws his mace.

"Let's do this thing," he announces, before vanishing entirely.

A man alone needs to find the best way to keep from being caught, he thinks wryly.

After having drawn his weapon, Adder uses dimension door to travel 10 feet forward (appearing, if it is empty, at the first square not adjacent to the door on the far side).

Appearing at the other side of the door, Adder finds himself in an empty, spacious room, with black soot burn marks on the floor in the center. All the way to his right, Adder sees a portcullis, and not far from that same wall on the wall opposite him, there is an archway, aside from that and the door he moved through, there is nothing else in the room.

Adder glances briefly at the open archway before crossing the room to the portcullis and teleporting just through it to the passageway beyond.

Self-evident; Adder teleports to the square one behind and to the north of the portcullis. This is so exciting; I feel like I'm playing nethack. :smalltongue:

After teleporting, Adder finds himself in a path leading around some corners, but ultimately leading to a T-split, with one leading to a dead end and the other turning around a corner.

Adder walks cautiously down the path, stopping at the T-junction for a few moments. Discarding any attempts at finding secret passages as fruitless, he turns down the other path, slowing as he reaches the corner.

Adder finds himself in an unlit hallway, as is everything here, that twists and turns to finally end in a door that seems to have broken on its hinges but is still stuck in the cave wall, as if something put it back there when it was broken.

Adder sees a wooden door, a door that would be considered good by most standards, but it was off its hinges and stuck in the wall. He can't look through it, which is what hinders him most.

I don't completely follow what you want to do here? To search for traps you need a search check...

Finding himself in a the middle of a wide room, Adder noticed something growling behind him. When he turned, he saw it was some creature that apparently lusted for his head, because it looked at you despairingly, craving for it.

The zombie becomes rather infuriated and charges the portcullis in an attempt to break it right then and there. It now becomes obvious that the same thing had happened to the door Adder originally came through.

Sorry, there's two paths leading from there, one north and around a bend after 10ft, one west in the same way. I assumed you would continue the fight, but I guess not...

Following the winding path of out of the room, Adder finds it ends in a door, as he teleports through that door, he finds himself in a wide room, with a cabinet on one end, and a screen that's supposed to have been wite on the other. On the screen, there is something written, recently it seems, and as Adder comes nearer, it is revealed to be Lyran was here, written with a finger in the gathering dust. The cabinet's door is off its hinges and on the floor, tattered to pieces.

No more maps of the paths, just the rooms. :smalltongue:

As the thorough search through the cabinet begins, Adder feels the thick layer of dust that has gathered on it. Those layers seem to be the only thing holding it together, as all the hinges are broken, and all the screws are loose at least in some way. Probably a single touch could break it.

You can't charge during a surprise round, it's a full-round action, while a surprise round is only a standard action. Sorry.

If you are able to take only a standard action or a move action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed). You can’t use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action or move action on your turn.

Adder's charge resulted in almost falling over while trying to hit the skeleton, and it retaliated by slashing at him with its scimitar, swishing away at empty air.

As Adder hit the skeleton, the mace broke off its arm. In fury, the second skeleton walked over and hacked at Adder fruitlessly, only to be followed by the skeleton with only a single arm remaining slashing at him as well, leaving a wide gash on Adder's arm.

Your attack obviously hit, and you take 6 damage from a hit by the second skeleton. You're up again.

Adder's second successful blow to the skeleton ends it, and it breaks apart in many different pieces. The second skeleton, looking at the fate of his companion, didn't look discouraged and jumped in closer, hacking away again, only to have it slide off Adder's armor harmlessly.

Sorry, I rolled a natural 20, so yes.

Just as Adder talks to the skeleton, his hit chips off another piece od the skeleton's bones. His whole left arm is now lying in pieces on the floor, and as he swings with his right arm, the lack of a second arm knocks him off-balance and he swings into nothingness.

As Adder moves near the southern door, needles rain down on him, and he loses so much blood he falls down, barely breathing. The skeleton takes advantage of this opportunity, and makes one great slash with its scimitar, making such a great cut that Adder almost dies instantly.

You're a day ahead of Adder in time, so if he somehow finds you before a day passes for him, you may yet live, bu the chances of that are about as big as the skeleton bursting into spontaneous combustion. So I think it's save to say that you die, sorry.
