we see a strange mark on Haley's back... And the Giant says Hayley's Sabine's opposite in other ways - and then there was the "mom is in heaven", which was discussed...

...it occurred to me that that mark might be, say... where wings used to be?

Well, I don't think if she's an Aasimar, considering she's chaotic, but we do know that Mrs. Starshine didn't stay in Celestia very long, as Haley got her two crystal balls (remember the "sequence" in the village inn?) when she was ten and the Haley in #675 in younger.:smallconfused:

That could be explained by the crystal balls being left to Haley in a will, and her not receiving them until she was deemed old enough to look after them properly.

I remember hearing that Rich once commented that he made Roy's Resurrection so long and difficult because he didn't want to cheapen death in the story.

So, when Haley said her mother went to heaven, she probably meant what it sounded like: she died. That's a much better piece of character development and backstory than "she was an angel."
