Golden Retriever, Guardian Angel

An 11-year old boy was protected from a cougar by his golden retriever aptly named 'Angel' (http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/01/04/boy.cougar.attack/)

Well, this certainly brightened my day, even if I'm far from being a dog person.

As it stands, our two golden retriever's wouldn't protect us from anything except the fierce wild brocolli. anything else they'd pay little attention to, but our older one, "Nugget", can consume the fierce vegetable in .3 seconds :smalltongue:.

As our vet once put it:

"ah, golden retrievers. the only animal i know that gets fat breathing."

Personally, I'm surprised the dog managed to survive the cougar attacking it.

Like I said, I'm not a dog person, but this is one cool dog.
