Double Move to N13

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 03:24 AM
Azain charges towards the bugbear!

attack:[roll0]
Damage: [roll1]

Charge gives +2 attack and takes -2AC right?

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 03:25 AM
NICE damage by the way:D

Koury
2010-01-07, 03:34 AM
It sure does. However, you were just a little short. (haha)

AC 17 on those guys.

Bugbear 2 Turn
Double move to P 14

My Turn
Move to V13
Cast Sleep centererd at M/N 11-12

It affects the Spider and Bugbear then caps out on HD and doesn't affect you.

[roll0] vs DC 16
[roll1] vs DC 16

I call out "Focus on the ones who are awake!"

Koury
2010-01-07, 03:37 AM
Bugbear to your north
5 ft step to the west.

He has a flank bonus from the other Bugbear.

[roll0] vs 15 AC

I sure will you fiery, pointy-eared treehugger

Azain attacks the bugbear that didn't fell asleep.

[roll0]
[roll1]

Hope I won't miss this time!

EDIT: God damn those dices!

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 03:40 AM
He has a flank bonus from the other Bugbear.

I have the feat that nullufies the flank - Eyes in the Back Of your head

Koury
2010-01-07, 03:45 AM
Both Bugbears are awake. That jerk rolled a 20 on his save.

Bugbear 2
He doesn't move and keeps his flank bonus. Your AC is back to normal however.

[roll0] vs AC 17
[roll1]

My Turn
Close to within 15 ft of Bugbear 2.
Cast Color Spray

"Resist that you bastard!"

[roll2] vs DC 16

If he fails he is unconscious, blind and stunned for [roll3] rounds.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 03:47 AM
Spider is sleeping and now the first's bugbear turn right?

EDIT: dices hate us both by the way

Koury
2010-01-07, 03:47 AM
First, ah, I remember you having that feat. They missed both times anyway.

Second, QUIT ROLLING TWENTIES!!! God damn.

Spider
Unconscious

Bugbear 1
Lets out a roar and attacks.

[roll0] vs AC 17
[roll1]

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 03:50 AM
Arg my eyes, my eyes - just kidding you filthy abominations!

Azain counterattacks the bugbear. Third time's a charm?
[roll0]
[roll1]

OK we're going to die:smallamused:. I have to go for my classes anyway - post the info I'll try to post my actions in 45-90 minutes. If you'll be online by this time

Koury
2010-01-07, 04:13 AM
Bugbear 2
The bugbear decides his friend has you handled and decides to see just how squishy this particular wizard is.

He charges and attacks me.

You get an AoO for him leaving your area.

As he raises his weapon, I take an immediate action to teleport 10 ft away (west).

My turn
"Don't look so surprised! Today is not the day I die, Bugbear. We'll see about you. Dwarf! You take that one out, this one is mine."

"Color Spray!"

[roll0] vs DC 16

If he fails he is unconscious, stunned and blinded for [roll1] rounds.

I'm running low on my good spells. I've got Mage Armor and Grease and a bunch of level 1s.

Koury
2010-01-07, 04:22 AM
Spider
Knocked Out

Bugbear 1
Swings his morningstar viciously.

[roll0] vs AC 17
[roll1]

This brings it around to your turn.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 05:44 AM
attack of opportunity for the bugbear:

[roll1]

And the bugbear near me

[roll2]
[roll3]

EDIT: YEAH BABY!:smallamused:
confirm on critical threat for the second bugnear
[roll]1d20+7

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 05:45 AM
Oh right cannot rollon edit
[roll0]

I'm on fire!

Koury
2010-01-07, 05:54 AM
I actually laughed out loud when I saw your confirm was a 20. Am I officially a nerd?

Your AoO hit Bugbear 2.

Your crit drops Bugbear 1.

Bugbear 2
Charges at me.

Attacks.

Interrupt Action to teleport 10 feet away (north, toward you).

I love that move.

My turn
Cast Grease

[roll0] vs DC 16

If he fails he is prone. He must make a balance check to move.

Spider
Asleep

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 06:37 AM
How does this stuff with teleport works exactly?

Yeah confirmation was hilarious:smallamused:

OK Azain runs toward the sleeping spider - in the next turn he will coup the grace him (It's a full round action right?)

Koury
2010-01-07, 06:45 AM
Coup de GraceAs a full-round action, you can use a melee weapon to deliver a coup de grace to a helpless opponent. You can also use a bow or crossbow, provided you are adjacent to the target.

You automatically hit and score a critical hit. If the defender survives the damage, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt) or die. A rogue also gets her extra sneak attack damage against a helpless opponent when delivering a coup de grace.

Delivering a coup de grace provokes attacks of opportunity from threatening opponents.

You can’t deliver a coup de grace against a creature that is immune to critical hits. You can deliver a coup de grace against a creature with total concealment, but doing this requires two consecutive full-round actions (one to "find" the creature once you’ve determined what square it’s in, and one to deliver the coup de grace).

You basically auto-crit. If it is still alive it makes a fort save or dies. The fort save is hard to make.

My teleport ability is from being a Conjuration specialist. I don't get a familiar but in exchange I can teleport (Int mod) times a day as an interrupt action. Thats 5 times a day for me. I'm hard to kill for a while.

Anyway, the fight.

Bugbear 2
Stand from prone.

Attempt to walk.

[roll0] vs DC 10

Success means he walks out of the spell area.

Failure means he doesn't.

Failure by 5 or more means he falls.

Koury
2010-01-07, 06:51 AM
I'm out of level one spells, so I cast Acid Splash

[roll0] vs Touch AC 11
[roll1]

Move close to you, but not next to you.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 07:44 AM
Die you eight-legged... ugly... THING!

Coup the grace on the spider-
damage roll [roll0] x3

Koury
2010-01-07, 07:54 AM
For the record, criticals aren't "Roll once and multiply" but are "Roll more times"

So its 3d8, not 1d8*3.

But it doesn't matter here because that thing is squashed

Bugbear 2
The Bugbear WOULD charge you and attack (hes frusterated with me disappearing) BUT I moved between you two, so he can't. He moves to me and attacks.

*poof*

My Turn
I decide against my weak level 0 spells and draw an arrow.

[roll0] vs AC 17
[roll1]

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 07:57 AM
Oh thanks for the update - I think it was multiplying in 3.0 - nevermind.

Azain charges towards the bugbear with a smile on his face
[roll0]
[roll1]

EDIT: and I'm out of luck again

Koury
2010-01-07, 08:07 AM
Bugbear 2
Attempts to wipe the smile from your face!

[roll0] vs AC 15
[roll1]

My Turn
Well, you're in melee now, so I cast Daze

[roll2] vs DC 15

If he fails he is dazed and gets no actions next turn.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 08:12 AM
Azain attacks even more fiercely than before (I hope)

[roll0]
[roll1]

I believe, my good sir, that we killed it:smallbiggrin:

Koury
2010-01-07, 08:35 AM
OK, so we just gained (600 + 600 + 600) / 2 = 900 XP

So, that was 3 CR 2s. That was only a little harder then 'even fight.'

You choose whats next:

A) Hard fight
B) Difficult fight
C) I WANT TO DIE!

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 10:27 AM
Hell I want to die! It should be fun

Koury
2010-01-07, 10:42 AM

Initiative: [roll0]

Also - whoaa we'll have to think this battle trough:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-07, 10:49 AM
I cast Mage Armor on you. You gain +4 AC.

I don't move much as I'm scared of the ton of monsters and want my meat shield good buddy to go first.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 10:52 AM
Very Funny:smallamused:

Azain goes to E13 and waits for the enemies

Koury
2010-01-07, 11:11 AM
E13? I'll assume you mean V13? We started in the south.

Gibbering Mouther
Double move to F13

Zombie 1
Move to N8

Basilisk
Double move to N17

Zombie 2
Move to M8

My Turn
I cast Enlarge Person on you, using my Arcanist's Gloves to boost my caster level to 4. It'll last 40 rounds now, way more then enough.

You now have 15 ft reach. You also have -1 AC from size, -1 AB but you get +2 Str so it's all good. You also take up 4 squares now.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 11:20 AM
OK I go to N,O, 14,15 and I wait for the Basilisk - I have reach now so I'll have AoO when he approaches me, right?

Koury
2010-01-07, 11:31 AM
You do and will.

Gibbering Mouther
Double move to J14
You are within 60' of it and can hear it gibbering. Make a will save vs DC 13.

Zombie 1
Move to P13. If you make your will save you can take an AoO vs him, or save it for the Basilisk.

Basilisk
Basilisk steps forward, giving you an AoO if you didn't take it vs the Zombie. Also, it makes a gaze attack vs you. Fort save DC 13.

Zombie 2
Moves to P12

I'm waiting on my turn to see whats happening with you.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 11:38 AM
Will save[roll0]
Fort save[roll1]

AoO on the Basilisk
[roll2]
[roll3]

Then I attack the basilisk

[roll4]
[roll5]

Damn I wanted to step back but the undead are in the way

Koury
2010-01-07, 11:46 AM
Not quite your turn yet, I wanted to see how the rolls came out.

You failed your Will save and are under the effects of a confusion spell for [roll0] rounds.

Also, basilisk needs to make a will save vs the same thing. [roll1] vs DC 13

As for your turn?
[roll2]
01-10 Attack caster with melee or ranged weapons (or close with caster if attack is not possible).
11-20 Act normally.
21-50 Do nothing but babble incoherently.
51-70 Flee away from caster at top possible speed.
71-100 Attack nearest creature (for this purpose, a familiar counts as part of the subject’s self).

My turn
Cast Grease, affecting both Zombies. Also, it is cast through my gloves, raising duration to 4 rounds.

[roll3] vs DC 16
[roll4]

On fail they fall prone. Let me see how everyone is doing before I make their moves. Also, need to see what you do.

EDIT: Basilisk Saves
You must close with the mouther and attack, taking an AoO from the Basilisk, but not from the Zombie because he is on his ass.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 11:50 AM
I'm running to the gibberling - or so it seems - there are monsters in the way!

Koury
2010-01-07, 11:52 AM
Basilisk AoO

[roll0] vs AC 20
[roll1]

EDIT: You can squeeze past the basilisk and attack the mouther.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 11:52 AM
Attack the gibberling
[roll0]
[roll1]

Koury
2010-01-07, 12:04 PM
Sadly, you miss.

Gibbering Mouther
Free Action: Shoot spittle at you.
[roll0] vs Touch AC (which is what? 10? 9?)
[roll1] and Fort Save vs DC 18 or be blind for [roll2] rounds.
Move up to you, you get an AoO, attack.
[roll3] vs AC 20
Damage - 1

Zombie 1
Stand from prone

Basilisk
Closes with you and attacks
[roll4] vs DC 20
[roll5]

Zombie 2
Stand from prone

My Turn
Double Move to N17

You're up and not insane anymore

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:10 PM
You mean my character isn't insane:smallbiggrin:
Fort Save I hope it works
I use the AoO on the Basilisk (I'm not sure how it is with initiative, so if my turn is before the Basilisk I attack the Mouther)
[roll1]
[roll1d8+6

And the same story with my attack (Basilisk - if can't - the Mouther)

[roll1d8+6

And I make a 5-foot step away from Basilisk and the Mouther

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:11 PM
damage roll error:smalltongue:
[roll0]
[roll1]

Koury
2010-01-07, 12:25 PM
Basilisk drops to 28 HP.

Mouther
Shoots spittle
[roll0]
If it hits [roll1] damage and Fort save DC 18 or blind for [roll2] rounds.

Mouther uses its Manipulate Ground ability. You must use a move action to avoid becoming pinned.

Zombie 1
[roll3] vs DC 10.

Success means it moves right next to me. Fail by 5 or more means it falls again.

Basilisk
[roll4]
[roll5]

Zombie 2
[roll6] vs DC 10.

Success means it moves right next to me. Fail by 5 or more means it falls again.

My Turn
I move 15 ft away from the Mouther and cast Color Spray.

[roll7] vs DC 16

If fails it is blind and stunned for [roll8] rounds and stunned for one more round.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:28 PM
I have to move immidiately or after the attack? And do I have an AoO on the basilisk since he comes to me and attack?

Koury
2010-01-07, 12:30 PM
Yes, you do get an AoO.

And no, you can't move this turn, you have to spend your move action to not be pinned. You can still attack, however.

Also, fort save or blind. :smallwink:

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:33 PM
Bu he missed me:smalltongue: Fort save:[roll0]

AoO for the basilisk:
[roll1]
[roll2]

Attack the basilisk:
[roll3]
[roll4]

And I spent my move action to not be pinned.

EDIT: Basilisk is going down next turn:smallbiggrin:

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:39 PM
Oh that blinding stuff is a touch attack - nevermind:smallannoyed:

Koury
2010-01-07, 12:52 PM
Basilisk drops to 3 HP

Mouther
Stunned, thank god.

Zombie 1
Closes with us. AoO for you if you want.

Basilisk
He WOULD run away, but thats not an option here. So...

[roll0]
[roll1]

Zombie 2
Closes with us. AoO for you if you want.

My Turn
I Grease the zombies again.

[roll2] vs DC 16
[roll3]

Prone on fail.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 12:56 PM
Wow- I'm short on HP

OK here goes:

AoO on the Zombie no2 (the one that didn't fall)
[roll0]
[roll1]

Then I attack the basilisk (and hopefully kill it)
[roll2]
[roll3]

If i kill the basilisk I cleave (it's a verb right:smalltongue:?) the zombie I attacked earlier
[roll4]
[roll5]
And I make 5-foot step back

Koury
2010-01-07, 01:05 PM
Cleave is a verb, yes

Basilisk is down and out.

Mouther
Stunned and blind still. Only stunned next round.

Zombie 1
Attacks you. Is your weapon slashing, by the way?

[roll0]
[roll1]

Basilisk

Zombie 2
Stands from prone. You get an AoO on him.

My turn
Cast Color Spray at the mouther. I want him down as long as possible.

[roll2] vs DC 16

If fail, stunned and blind for [roll3] rounds and stunned for one more round.

I have one lvl one spell left.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 01:10 PM
Yes it's slashing (or piercing - but I'm using slashing part now)

AoO on the Zombie (still the same one)

[roll0]
[roll1]

And I attack the Zombie (yup the same one)

[roll2]
[roll3]

Again a 5-foot step back - but in a way that I have the second zombie (or the mouther) in my 15feet range.

Koury
2010-01-07, 01:14 PM
What zombie are you attacking? You said you attacked the one that was still standing earlier, but are now saying it is the same one from before when attacking the one standing from prone.

I'm lost.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 01:21 PM
I'm attacking the one that I cleaved earlier (basically the one that is already hurt)

EDIT: He had to come near me - so I have the AoO

Koury
2010-01-07, 01:43 PM
Sorry, had to deal with real life for a second. Crazy real life and not having a pause button. Don't they know I'm playing GAMES?!

Sheeze.

Working on monster turns now.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 01:45 PM
Yeah I have to study for my exams - but it can wait...:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-07, 01:51 PM
Zombie you attacked is at 16 HP.

Mouther
Stunned/blinded this round and next. Stunned the next round.

Zombie 1
5 ft steps up to you (so no AoO)
[roll0]
[roll1]

Zombie 2
Balance check to move [roll2] vs DC 10

Success means he moves toward us.
Fail is no move
Fail by +5 means he falls down.

My Turn
I draw an arrow and attack the injured zombie.

[roll3] vs AC 16
[roll4] minimum 1

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 01:55 PM
Too bad I won't finish him this turn
[roll0]
[roll1]

I'm almost certain that drinking a potion is a standard action but if by any means it's a move action than I drink a CSW potion

Koury
2010-01-07, 02:07 PM
You rolled a 1

Drinking a potion is a standard, yes. Drawing it is a move action, also.

Mouther
Stunned/blinded one more round. Stunned only next round.

Z1
[roll0]
[roll1]

Z2
Stand from prone. You get an AoO. Grease spell is gone.

My Turn
Fire another arrow.

[roll2]
[roll3] Min. 1

EDIT: :smallmad: Now I rolled a one.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 02:11 PM
AoO:
[roll0]
[roll1]

And zombie that is hurt:
[roll2]
[roll3]

Grease is gone?! You're kidding me I was counting on it!:smallamused:

EDIT: You have sleep right? Cast it on the mouther:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-07, 02:23 PM
Sadly, I have no Sleep. My build changed between these battles and I dropped Enchantment as a school. I'll get it back later, but until about level 5, I'm SOL on Enchantment.

Mouther
Stunned

Z1
4 HP left

[roll0]
[roll1]

Z2
Zombie partial charges you.

[roll2]
[roll3]

My Turn
I cast my last level 1 spell. Another Color Spray.

[roll4] vs DC 16

Please oh please work.

On a fail, mouther is blind/stunned for [roll5] rounds and stunned for one more.

EDIT: :smalltongue: It worked!

:smallmad: For the minimum duration.

Crap, are you alive? That zombie hit hard.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 02:25 PM
OK I'm screwed:smallamused:. How could you roll max on damage?! How could you do this to me?! I'm on -10 HP...

EDIT: But it wasn't so bad right? What was CR for that encounter?

Koury
2010-01-07, 02:27 PM
You're EXACTLY dead? Damn it.

Well, I'm boned. I can dodge 5 shots and go Invis for a while, but it runs out eventually and then I'm dead.

We did way better then I expected though. Almost killed half of em.

But you DID ask to die :smallamused:

CR? Two CR 5s and two CR 2s. CR 7 I think over all. Worth 2400 XP EACH if we won.

But we'd have needed a miracle to win.

Seth1221
2010-01-07, 02:31 PM
Yes sir I did:smallbiggrin:. Yeah I think we did pretty good actually. OK it was all fun and games but I have to study:smallannoyed:. Thanks for a great warm up - and let's hope that the real campaign will come up soon.

EDIT: Whoa - a lot of XP. But it was next to impossible to win

Koury
2010-01-08, 02:56 AM
You are in the north (red) circle. I am in the south (blue) circle.

[roll0]

I'm changing my spell list to be a little more offensive, since I don't have someone beating on people for me.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 02:56 AM
Ok I'm here - I should be here right?:smallamused:

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 02:57 AM
No meat shield this time huh?:smalltongue:
Initiative[roll0]
EDIT:
Something wrong - but I'll be second anyway so go ahead

Koury
2010-01-08, 02:59 AM
Cast Spell on myself.

Your turn.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:01 AM
Mysterious one huh?:smallamused:

I go to M15 (behind the glass wall)

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:05 AM
Move to S14 and ready action

Don't look unless it happens:
If he comes within 30' cast Grease

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:08 AM
But...it's so.... tempting...:smallwink:

I go to P 17

Can I peek now?:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:11 AM
Yes.

As you enter within 30' of me I cast Grease in N/O 15-16.

Reflex vs DC 16 or fall prone.

Standing is a move action.

If you are not prone, DC 10 Balance check to move.

Fail by +5 means you fall prone.

This spell is beautiful.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:15 AM
OK i go toward you and attack
[roll0]
[roll1]
and a reflex save if you cast grease: [roll2]

And off topic: Does this flaw shaky applies to thrown weapons? I could use some throwing axes...

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:16 AM
Oh and balance check: [roll0] stupid armor penalty...

To your face, elf!

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:17 AM
Your reflex is good enough (damn it). You still need a DC 10 balance check to be able to move (at half speed).

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:19 AM
Damn you.

You approach me and try to attack, but *poof* I am 10 ft back now.

My turn.

"A little too slow, dwarf."

I cast Hail of Stone, empowered by my gloves.

No save. I also love this spell.

Take [roll0] damage.

I move 30 ft away, so I am 40 ft away total.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:24 AM
Whoa nice spell. Do you have a jade worth 5 gp?:smalltongue:

Oh well I drink a potion of CLW ( it heals 1d8 +something?)

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:27 AM
Do you have a jade worth 5 gp?:smalltongue:

:smalleek: Crap. No, I haven't bought any yet. I'm adding them to my sheet now, if that counts

CLW heals 1d8+1. Its always minimum caster level on wands/potions/scrolls unless otherwise noted.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:29 AM
heh I could be an ass and say no... but I'll be generous:P... if you'll let me heal maximum from the potion - so 9 hp:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:33 AM
Deal, seeing as I have no hope without my ONLY damage spell

You are down 3 hp.

Until I blast you again!

Cast Hail of Stone through my gloves again (last time on the gloves)

[roll0]

I move another 30 ft back. 70 away now.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:35 AM
I charge toward you! But I won't reach you I think... So I just double move (or whatever that is called in english:smalltongue:)

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:40 AM
Double move is correct.

You are 10 ft from me now?

COLOR SPRAY

Will save vs DC 16 please.

Move 30 ft away.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:42 AM
YUP
Will save: [roll0]
If I pass I charge

[roll1]
[roll2]

(I know you'll just teleport but I'll post the rolls anyway:smallsmile:)

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:46 AM
FAIL!!!

2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

So, knocked out for [roll=2d4] rounds, blind and stunned for [roll0] rounds and stunned for one more.

This should hopefully be game.

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:47 AM
Roll fail :smallmad:

[roll0]

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 03:47 AM
OK so post your actions till (or if) I'm awake - I must go for a lecture - I'll be back in about 2 hours.

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:50 AM
OK. I dance around taunting you for 5 rounds. I then stand right over your body with my longbow out, aim and then release my arrow into your skull. (Coup de grace)

Auto Crit.

[roll0] Minimum 3.

If you are still alive, fort save vs DC (10+damage) or die.

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:54 AM
I THINK you survive the damage.

DC 21 Fort or die.

Otherwise:

You are stunned for 4 or 5 more rounds, I forget which.

[roll0]
[roll1]

[roll2]
[roll3]

[roll4]
[roll5]

[roll6]
[roll7]

[roll8]
[roll9]

Disregard any extras if you are stunned for shorter time.

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:57 AM
It was 5.

Attacks 1, 2, 4 and 5 hit.

Take 8 more damage.

You dead yet? If not, you're up finally.

Koury
2010-01-08, 03:58 AM
Oh, that one was a possible crit.

[roll0]
[roll1] Min 2

Nice. Make that 8 a 15.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 04:40 AM
God damn it they cancelled the lecture! And did they tell me? no...! Anyway..

Yeah yeah I'm dead already:smalltongue:. But it was my tactical mistake:smallamused:

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 04:48 AM
Hmmm another fight?:smallamused: Maybe something less extreme than the one with basilisk?

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:03 AM
Hey, you asked for that one :smallamused:

Let me see what I can find.

Reset us to the south (blue) circle.

Roll init, I'll see what we're fighting.

[roll0]

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:07 AM
[roll0] (North)

[roll1] (East)

[roll2] (West)

Yes. Polar bears.:smallamused:

This will not be easy. I promise.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:12 AM
Orighty then
[roll0]

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:20 AM
Me
Polar 3
Polar 2
You
Polar 1

Cast Enlarge Person on you.

"Stick around, dwarf, and I may just give you some armor too."

Polar Bear 3
Double move to U12

Polar Bear 2
Double move to U15

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:24 AM
You do the magics, I'll stop those teddy bears!

I stand between you and the bears and prepare my Urgosh (spear-side) in case the bears want to charge us. So if they do I deal double damage on hit.
EDIT: It's a ready action if they charge
EDIT2: Hmmm if you enlarge me, my equipment enlarges as well. Shouldn't my urgosh deal more damage then?:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:32 AM
Polar Bear 1
Double move to Q12

My Turn
I toss a Mage Armor up on you. +4 AC

You know what might be good? Fill your second weapon slot with your enlarged weapon stats.

Polar Bear 3
Closes with you and attacks.

[roll0]
[roll1]

Polar Bear 2
Closes with you and attacks.

[roll2]
[roll3]

You get an AoO of your choice. They don't charge.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:36 AM
AoO on bear numer 3
[roll0]
[roll1]

And attack bear number 3
[roll2]
[roll3]

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:37 AM
That, my friend, is called a critical threat:smallbiggrin:
confirmation
[roll0]
[roll1]
damn it...

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:41 AM
Bear 3 takes 34 damage. 34 HP remaining.

Polar Bear 1
Closes and attacks. AoO.

[roll0]
[roll1]

Polar Bear 3
Tries to get some dwarf-meat.

[roll2]
[roll3]

[roll4]
[roll5]

Polar Bear 2
Also wants dwarf-meat!

[roll6]
[roll7]

[roll8]
[roll9]

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:45 AM
Hmmm in 3.0 was a rule that if you take half your damage in one round you are stunned or something (I'm not sure what was the name) Is the rule still in 3.5?

Anyway I'm dead...:smallamused: so it's just a theoretical question:smallbiggrin:

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:47 AM
I forgot my turn. Allow me to try and save your ass.

My Turn
I cast Grease, affecting PB 2 and PB 3.

[roll0] vs DC 16
[roll1] vs DC 16

Fail is prone and negates their attack.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:49 AM
Yeah well... the grease is cool and all but... it was no good this time::smalltongue:

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:51 AM
It takes me too long to buff you. Anyway, if you take 50 or more damage from one single attack, you make a fort save or die.

What you're talking about is a variant rule.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:53 AM
Oh ok thanks for the update. That's like 2:1 for the monsters:smallamused:

Koury
2010-01-08, 05:56 AM
Those were CR 4s. 3 of em is a really tough fight.

Hell, one is a tough fight.

I'm gonna go play some Rock Band on my Xbox for a bit. I haven't played for a while and am in the mood.

Campaign should be starting soon though. This reminded me to buy bits of jade, which is good.

Seth1221
2010-01-08, 05:57 AM
heh ok I'm back to studying then:smallwink:. See ya later
