Spell 'Rankings' by level

I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a complete list of all the wiz/sorc spells out there, listed out level by level, which judges which ones are worth adding to your repitoire and which ones to avoid (in a tier system or thumbs up system, something like that)?

If not then i plan on making one.

The guide to being batman would be a good place to start looking, though I don't think they quite went into dealing with all spells...

That is a very nice little guide of all the PHB spells, and a few spell compendium, but im really after the most complete of the complete listings of spells that would be great. I really want to be as broad in my comparisons as i can.

They are afterall the things which make/break/expand schools, and also tend to have 'fresher' ideas and effects than those of the PHB, becuase after all, they wanted to expand on the list.

I've not compared to see how much the text has changed or whether new spells have been added - but the major drawback of the BG versions is that nearly all the ratings symbols have vanished!

For a quick & dirty list of OP spells, check out this spell list that I made for the Bio-Mage (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2500391#post2500391). Anything that costs more than the standard amount for its level is overpowered, IMO.

At least, that was my opinion 3 years ago.
