You awaken in the center of a 10ft by 15ft room with stone walls, ceilings, and floors. A torch is burning on the wall behind you, while the other three walls have closed, metal doors with brackets allowing you to bar them from the inside. Unfortunately, only two metal rods are lying on the floor.

Edwin burshes himself off as he picks himself up.

"Hmmm wonderfully sticky sitution old chap, well better be prepared"

Edwin uses his scroll of Mage Armor and bars the dorrs to the north and east. He moves to the south door and listens before open the door a fraction to peek through.

It's quite silent.

Once you open the door, you see a short, narrow, unlit, hallway, five feet in width, and twenty in length. Just over halfway down, a door leads to the left, while at the end, another door leads straight ahead.

Edwin cracks a sun-rod and tucks it into his hatband. He sets off down the southern corridor to N2 and pauses to listen. He will crack the door open a little to peer in.

You hear nothing in particular, but once you look in...

In a particularily messy 15ft by 15ft room, you see two zombie kobolds feasting on the remains of one of their brethren. There is a door on the far side of the room. Both of them, focused on their meal, are unaware of your presence.

Edwin closes the door silently before moving south to O2. Here he again pauses to listern at the door before opening it a crack to look inside.

Just for my own mapping what are the locations for the zombies?

M4 and N4. They'll remain there happily chewing, so no need to worry about them moving while you're out.

At the door to the south, you believe you hear something alive beyond the room, but it's so faint you can't make out anything other than vague rustling.

Edwin takes out his crossbow and opens the door as silently as he can looking for the source of the noise. He is ready to lose a shot as soon as he sees whats in the room.

In the center of a 15ft square dark room, an lone kobold is standing, wearing nothing but a floppy cloth hat, which bears the word "Sorrc" on it. You also note another wooden door in the center of the east wall.

You have surprise.

His init, in case it becomes relevant: [roll0]

The bolt clearly missed, but so swiftly do you attack that you get to strike again before he can react(same init, you have higher dex).

The bolt easily hits, but doesn't exactly do much damage.

Other DMs

Electing to MM instead of mage armor due to him being an evoker. And fluffizing because I'm bored.

He 5-fts, getting as far out [or close to being out] of LoS as possible, and casts a spell (spellcraft to ID, but you should know already) and you're hit by some tiny thing shaped like a dragon's claw for [roll0] points of force damage.

Go.

Edwin curses as the magical claw lashes him,

Damn you Draconian Fiend! Two can play that game!

Edwin appears to throw a small purple sphere of light that speeds towards the kobold with uncanny accuracy

Cast magic missile at the kobold

Damage: [roll0]
