adding spells to a sorcerer.

On of my favorite classes for a sorcerer is sand shaper, mainly due to the desert insight ability which adds a whole bunch of spells known to a sorcerers list of spells. what are your favorite classes or feats that can expand a sorcerers repertoire?

There are, of course, the draconic feats in Complete Arcane. If you're exalted, you can get quite a few extra 'spells known' with the Exalted Arcanist class. With high Wisdom, the Arcane Disciple feat from Complete Arcane also adds one spell known of each level, 1-9.

Can sorcerers even enter Mage of the Arcane Order? I mean, it's a requirement to prepare Arcane spells, which they don't.

Take level of archmage, make a spell a spell-like ability, next level swap that spell out for another. Rinse & repeat. Hopefully you have a nice DM that says that the spell-like abilities are cast at your current level, not stuck at the level you made them at.

And even if he does rule against you, simply swap spells that either aren't CL-dependent, or last so long that an hour or two makes no difference. (Or are already capped, which will also make no difference.)

The reasonable interpretation is that they are cast at your current level.

Anyhow, note that you can apply metamagic to the spell you select to be an SLA, as well as use up a higher level slot to increase the times per day. Thus, an Empowered Enervation 4/day will take up one 9th level slot.

Rainbow Servant works alot better with Warmage/Beguiler/Dread Necromancer etc. classes - classes that know all spells on their list automatically.

For completeness sake: Unseen Seer lets you add 3 extra divination spells from any spell list, one at level 2, one at level 5 and one ant level 8.
