The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a small room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a sconce near the room's single door.

Edit2: though I see the door at the far end too, since I have darkvision 100ft, so I'll go in there instead. I'm purposefully waiting to go into the room with the spitting bastard until I'm lvl 2. :smalltongue:

A small fire elemental appears behind you, lasting only long enough to distract you before disappearing.

Whoops, forgot to roll extra damage from the maneuver. :smallredface:

[roll0] damage, you have a 20% miss chance for 1 round on the failed save (doesn't matter, you missed cleanly anyway).

He tumbles away [roll1] (DC 15 to avoid AoO), then moves back and attacks you again, blade bursting into flames as he does. [roll2] for [roll3] + [roll4] fire.

Um... to clarify, I assumed I would die, so I took the liberty of restarting myself and saying I would go into the room not shown on the map above, which I know to contain the monster that spits on people.

Though I'm changing my mind. I'd like to go to the room numbered 6 on the map.

Open sores dot its hide and a feral, catlike head glances with it's blank eyes at the wall in front of it.

The room contains a large chest with a note attached to it’s latch. There are doors at C5, D2 and D1 north.

I jump atop the chest happily and embrace it in a bear-hug, before trying to tie his rope around it and forcing the chest through the too-small door.

After this obviously futile attempt, Karthli will just empty the contents and move on to the next room, labeled 4.

Alright.. I assume you go east at the southern hall where you didn't explore before.. So.. The hall goes 85ft that way before turning north. The hall contains, in that order:

A dart trap at the ceiling.
A pit trap.
A hot trap that deals you [roll0] non lethal damage and demands a fort save (DC11, if fail you become fatigued)
Another pit trap.

I get healed the nonlethal damage, and I take 10 on the fort save, since I'm not in combat I can do that. (taking ten results in 12)

Taking 10/20 is only for a skill check, unless I've missed something incredibly obvious all this time.

In any event, the fatigue would go away once the nonlethal damage was gone.

You can't take 10 on saves...

The hall goes 20ft north, you trigger a dart trap on the ceiling.

It turns west, you trigger another hot trap, then turns south for 10ft with a pit trap, 30ft west with an acid trap ([roll0][roll1]) then north for 10ft and west for 5ft, ending with a wall that crumbles from touch of ladder and reveals Stabsy's room.

If you still advance into the room:
You miss, next time give me a miss chance due to darkness.. Or are you not affected by magical darkness?

The squirrels try to bite you and disappear into the darkness.. You can use listen to find them (free action first, if you want another check it's a move action I believe)

Both the action of drawing the potion and drinking it provoke AoO and both interrupt the action so killing it with the AoO would have prevented the drinking of the potion so no, it doesn't matter.

I then leave all the stuff except the gold in a neat pile in the south-eastern corner, for later retrieval, and go out the door on the north through the hallway, moving east, and enter the door with the bulls-eye in front of it.

Points lost to ability damage return at the rate of 1 point per day (or double that if the character gets complete bed rest) to each damaged ability, and the spells lesser restoration and restoration offset ability damage as well.

Lesser restoration is a level 2 spell, for clerics, or level 1 for paladins.. (Which could have been nice to know when I needed to cure my str damage from the damned squirrels as a warforged (that doesn't heal ability damage))

Anyway.. At first floor only after you exit it you get to the safe resting area..

The ceiling starts to fall on you, reflex DC15 to avoid bricks. [roll1] damage if you fail. A sack with hay sticking out falls to the floor as well.
