View Full Version : Yu-Gi-Oh! PbP Exhibition: Sir Bedevere vs. Shadow Elf

Sir Bedevere

You see a man with pinkish-purple hair with shorts and a t-shirt walk in.

So, like, what's up? Wanna throw down, cuz that would be totally radical.

A grizzled old man in overalls and a plaid shirt walks into the ring, a fishing rod over his shoulder. Git off mah lawn, ya wippersnapper! shouts the man. When he sees that there is actually someone there to receive his customary greeting, he changes his attitude. Pardon, sonny? You wanna play a children's card game? Sure thing.

Shaaa, and now I shall, like, totally go first and stuff. Draw!

[roll0]

Radical. I play three cards so they can't be seen and end my turn. It's so bogus that I couldn't draw a monster... not tubular at all man.

You're going to have to speak up, Sonny. I got water in the ears, says the old man, swilling a finger around in his ear before drawing a card from his briny, rusty old dueldisk. Back in my day, we used to play children's card games on a table, ya hear? These new-fangled "duelcircle" thingamawhatzzits just get all rusty and salty when you get em' wet.

Draw: [roll0]
Rerolls: [roll1]

First, I'll discard mah Warrior of Atlantis to the graveyard, to grab myself a Legendary Ocean from mah deck, which I'll then play. I'll set two cards face down and summon me a Mermaid Knight. This briny broad then attacks your life points directly - twice. 3400 points of damage to your Heart-points there, sonny. I end my turn.

Like, before you activate your Legendary Ocean, I activate my Curse of Darkness (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Curse_of_Darkness) and chain my Chain Strike (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Chain_Strike) to it! First off, you lose 1200 life points from my Chain Strike, then you lose 1000 life points by my Curse of Darkness since you activated Legendary Ocean. Righteous. And that isn't all, on your first attack, I use Dimension wall (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dimension_Wall), so you take the damage instead of me. That's a total of 3900 damage from my face-downs. RIGHTEOUS COMBO!

You're a cheeky youngster, sonny. Back in my day, people learned to RESPECT their elders!

Draw: [roll0] Already Drew 20
Rerolls: [roll1] Taking 29

Time to teach you some manners, sonny. I summon Levia Dragon - Daedalus in attack mode, by sacrificin' my Mermaid Knight! He's easier to summon in my Legendary Ocean, y'see. Then I use his effect! Apocalyptic Hydro Cannon! Go! All of the water of the breath-taking Legendary Ocean is sucked into Daedalus' mouth, and it then fires it, destroying every other card on the field, including the old man's facedowns. He seems a little over-excited, considering he had to sacrifice so many magic and trap cards to pull it off. Now, DIRECT ATTACK! 2600 Damage!

((that's why I call it my Rapid Burn deck))

When you use it's ability, I activate my Just Desserts (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Just_Desserts), dishing out 500 points of extra creamy pain! Totally shoulda seen that one comin', man. Also, how can I show respect and still win? I'm showin' respect by duelin' with all I've got. Now I'm gonna rock this place with a wicked sweet draw!

You're misunderestimatin' Daedalus, boy he says, before drawing a card.

Draw: [roll0]
Rerolls: [roll1]

I'm a mite intimidated by your face down cards, sonny, but I suppose the best pick is to just go ahead and work the attack! I summon mah blizzard dragon, who paralyzes your face down monster, just in case. Then, I attack that beastie with Blizzard Dragon. I then attack with Daedalus, either a direct attack, or finishing off that there facedown if it survives. After all that, I end mah turn.

You may have bogusly destroyed my Princess of Tsurugi with no ill effects, your Dragon, however, fell into my Nightmare Wheel (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Nightmare_Wheel)! This righteous card allows me to stop it from attacking permanently and it must remain in attack mode! Not only that, but during each of my standby phases, which I just entered after drawing, you lose 500 Life Points! But first, before my turn starts, during your end phase, I activate the trap monster Zoma the Spirit (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Zoma_the_Spirit)! I shall totally draw now man!

[roll0]

And now to, like, win this! Since you have 3100 life points left, I'm still able to activate my Meteor of Destruction (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Meteor_of_Destruction)! You now have 2100, and I switch my radical Zoma to attack mode! Now, Zoma, attack his Daedalus and destroy yourself! Since he was epically destroyed in battle, you take damage equal to Daedalus' attack! 2100-2600=-500. You lose, dude! Nice duel out there man, I almost lost in the most epic of ways. You are a true duelist.

Bwahahahaha! Good game, kid. You play a rough game, I like that. Now GIT OFF MAH LAWN! With that, the old man turns and leaves. The roar of a 10 horsepower engine is heard outside, and the man takes off in his small fishing vessel.

Bah, kids these days...

((That was a very rapid burn. I really thought I had this in the bag early on, especially considering how few monsters you had... Of course, my deck works best against Swarm decks and such, not so much against spell/trap decks. Any suggestions? I think it played the way it should have, it was just countered in a really epic way))

Sir Bedevere

(you had a very good deck and it was played better than most decks could have been. Only, I have a very fast deck that relies on ruining my opponent's plan before, even after or during, it has been made.)

Also, imagine this in a tag duel! Two decks built around the theme of "Burn the opponent before they can THINK!" in a tag duel. Two Magic Cylinder. Two Mirror Force. Six Zoma the Spirit! Truly epic, and I did just that in the latest videogame, destroying the opponent before they can formulate their plan.

EX: I go first, I set three cards and a Des Koala. They go, summon Cyber Twin Dragon through an insane combo. Partner activates Secret Barrel, they take 1200 damage. He sets three cards and summons Reflect Bounder. Other dude goes, gets out Machiner's Sniper. Sniper attacks Reflect Bounder, they take 1800. Twin attacks Des Koala, they take 2000 more. Twin attacks again, activate Magic Cylinder, chain Chain Strike. They lose 8600 life points and lose the duel.
