What is FATAL?

I am... decently versed in the popular RPG systems, but I haven't really heard of this one, and it seems to be pretty much universally reviled. So to sum up: What is it and why does it suck?

Er, I'm actually not sure if you're even supposed to ask about it. Some threads get locked for even mentioning it. I myself don't fully understand what it is, myself. Perhaps you should ask a mod? :smallconfused:
