I think mine would be 'It's a type of boat'. The junk joke made me laugh the hardest out of all of them.

What are yours?

I personally love #448 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0448.html). (I don't have all ~700 strips committed to memory, so it might not be my ultimate favorite.)

:xykon: "...but I've always felt that when it's really important, it's worth it to go that extra mile." [Standing in sea of dead paladins]

Priceless.

The one that makes me laugh more is #423 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0423.html), me having studied chemistry at the university and all .

The one before (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0422.html) is probably my absolute favourite to date (love the juxtaposition of the two sides preparing for war, and Readcloak's final line).

In English it is sometimes used to represent approximation, for example ~10 would mean “approximately 10”. Similar symbols are used in mathematics, such as in π ≈ 3.14, “π is about equal to 3.14”. Since the double-tilde (≈; HTML entity ≈) is generally not available from the keyboard, the tilde (~) has become a substitute for use in typed entry.

A tilde is also used to indicate “approximately equal to” (e.g. 1.902 ~= 2). This usage probably developed as a typed alternative to the libra symbol used for the same purpose in written mathematics, which is an equal sign (=) with the upper bar replaced by a bar with an upward hump or loop in the middle or, sometimes, a tilde. [Also see Approximation]. The symbol "≈" is also used for this purpose.

is my favorite strip, but my single favorite panel is Darth V hovering in front of Team Evil, just like harrier in "True Lies" (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0651.html). Both are "this is so awesome" mixed with "this ain't gonna end good".

My top 3

3. Trial of the Century (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0595.html): I love the Gust of wind touch.
2. Truth (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0393.html). Elan gets useful, a big plot point resolves and an unforgettable quote: "Identical? Really? 'Cause you seem to have a few more holes in you right now"
1. A Familiar Conclusion (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0672.html): I'm surprised nobody mentioned this one, V's last line and the zoom off really amused me.

Well, I do like #584 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0584.html)..

:vaarsuvius: Much to my displeasure, no such person exists on the vessel in question at this time.

:vaarsuvius: It is, by its definition, a one-word spell.... Look, I have just written the word in my spell book. It does not take up even a full line, much less a page, much less SEVEN!... Does it need some alone time? Are we giving the word its personal space? Perhaps we should ask it to discuss its feelings?

ONE! WORD! (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0306.html)

This one always bothered me. It is NOT just ONE! WORD! It is ONE! WORD! OF! POWER!!! Is V suggesting that any schlub who overhears that power word being used can duplicate its effects? Thog, perhaps? Like some imitative child who overhears an inappropriate vulgarity? Running through the streets blinding people just by shouting at them?

It's a seventh level spell. It's not just a single syllable or even collection of random mouth movements. It has deep, mystical potency and the ability to warp reality. It holds a meaning that undercuts the mundane understanding of the basic laws of the universe. It's... complex!

You can't communicate that sort of knowledge through one page of text, let alone less than one line as V would insist. C'mon...

Oh. And my favorite strip -- #001. Weapon shrinkage, chain shirts and new skill points. 'Communicated a lot of good humor through the brevity of wit.
