the city of Eioioni stands at the crossroads of two major trade routes, the Adris-Nomiaim route along the great road, and the stonehold-noadi route along the iron tunnel. dispite this, times are hard in Eioioni, as it is located just a bit to close to the riven peaks for comfort.

Alesteir Arizter, Necromancer and follower of Vecna.


Born to the Arizter family, Alesteir nativity seemed to be bleesed as he showed the signs of the Aasimar, the Arizter family was lucky to count a celestial on its family three and Alesteir had inherited some of the celestial blood of his forerunner.

The family thought he would grow up to become a force of good in this dangerous world... how wrong they were.

As he grew up he showed to be adept at sorcery, the Arizter's thought that they should nurture his powers, but when he started to show even more adeptness at wielding the negative energies. Soon this adeptness became mastery and Alesteir became a necromancer.

As he tried to understand this power Alesteir started traveling looking for knowledge; as if destined he accidentally found dedicated to the, Whispered One, Vecna.

Looking over the vast amount of knowledge kept at the shrine Alesteir consacrated his efforts to uncover forgotten knowledge.

Soon after he decided to join the ranks of his new master as an Undead and went through the procces of crucimigation.

Isosceles@ are you sure you want to ban those schools? there are quite a few powerful spells on both of those schools, offensive-wise (Polymorph line, shadow evocation, etc) defense-wise (Mirror Image, polymorph again) Buff wise (almost all good wizard buffs are on transmutation.)
Also when your CON score changes, you increase HP for al HD

@Nolipse: the template of Necropolitan changes all my HD to d12 so I'll roll them

Alright, my character is finished (ish).

His tribe was destroyed by extremist paladins who felt that civilization and death were the only options when he was 14, and the dying words of his father (Zouigif the zeroth) were "Track them down. Find their cities. Learn their tricks. And give them hell." Since then he has striven to do just that, learning to further hone his martial abilities in conjunction with power devoted to defeating magic: he does not admit to any innate magic himself, claiming that his Spellthief spells are simply his own body going further.

Rundown on his non-core stuff
Magic of Incarnum:
Healing Soul allows 2X healing X times per day as a swift action, where X is the essentia invested (which stays invested for 24 hours).
Cerulean Will is +X on Will saves where X is the essentia invested.

Magic Item Compendium:
Dragon Spirit Cincture: +1 die on breath weapons, +1DC if wielding a weapon that deals the same energy damage
Everlasting Rations: 1/day get 1 days worth of rations
Energy Assault crystals: 1 energy damage on a MW or better weapon for 600gp

Races of Dragon:
Entangling Exhalation: breath weapon does half damage but Entangles for 1d4 rounds dealing 1d6 damage per round. If the breath weapon deals no damage it deals 1d6 fire for those rounds.
Dragon Wings give him wings and a 30ft glide speed, but no Flight. +10 Racial to Jump checks.

The other +4 on Jump checks is for having a 40ft move speed.

okay folks, we now have 6 characters. we can now start, although if more characters turn up they will be inserted into the start mission without problems. according to the die Annabelle hears of the "Staff of the Void" in the temple gardens, one of dozens that heard the high priest speak of this power that could unite the world. over to you rocketman. gather the party.

I actually have no idea how to move it. You could just start a new thread and call it "The Eye: In Character" or something like that. Also, if you don't mind a bit of advice, when you start the new thread, you may want to lay out posting procedure, i.e. something like this:

Elsdon watched as his brother threw the bodies into the river.

"You know, I won't always answer when you call me to clean your mess." His brother spoke suddenly.

"Don't start being arrogant just because you have some muscles, I only ask you to do this because you know that I would otherwise just force someone else to do that, and you know what happens then, right? I know you don't like it.." Elsdon answered calmly, hands folded in front of him, smiling in the darkness.

His brother was silent for a moment, then looked up at where he thought Eldson was and said quietly "Yes.."

After finishing the cleanup, his brother stood straight and looked straight at Elsdon, even though Elsdon was sure his brother can't see him. "When are you going to stop? The guard won't remain silent for long, you are going too far."

I actually plan on gishing a bit, I have an "acceptable" AC I also have some REALLY nice touch spells (vampiric touch and plannin on getting shivering touch with sorcerer), planing on upgrading my flail to spellstoring and enervating. besides some of the best De-buffs (which I exell at) bestow curse for exampe are touch.

my apologies to everyone. that is exactly what you should have done; i had not realised that i had not communicted that clearly. you should infact assign them before they roll, but it is to late to retcon that now, so just continue as normal.

At a young age, Chris witnessed the power of a Lich Wizard, who used his array of magic items and spells to destroy an entire city. Himself being a Wizard of sorts, decided that he needed to achieve two things to overcome such power. One, the Lich had little physical prowess, so if he learned to fight well, he could out-muscle any other wizard if their magical powers proved equal, and two, he needed to find a way to use his own soul for power as well. He obviously couldn't become a Lich for the immortality at such an early stage, but he stumbled upon the power of Incarnum, and stuck with it. Obviously, as soon as he is able he'll try and become immortal, and he won't pass up on the chance to obtain any special magic items, either. This artifact? Too much to resist.

Oh, and let's not foget about Toady. Using his own soul, he has imbued his Familiar with some fairly spectacular powers. Most toads, after all, do not come with 2 extra arms, and some remarrkably vicious claws on the ends of them...and a strange mask, with a long snout.

Of course, few people notice this. Because his master has the same things.

I believe you should, otherwise you'll be left behind power-wise, I suggest gestalting with something that compliments what you are trying to archive.

Right, so apparently you misunderstood what I said. As there is nothing to hide around on the temple itself the practically impossible clause kicks in. I figured it was clear enough, but having him plopped down 30ft from the meeting when he can't hide for **** is an obvious sign of miscommunication. I honestly didn't see your little tidbit about his location until now, else I'd have brought it up earlier. Seriously though, how is 30ft going to make it practically impossible to see him? He doesn't care if he's 200ft away (which is what I meant, being a -20 penalty [ie practically impossible] to spot checks at that range), cause for this endeavor he isn't supposed to be sitting out front like a shining beacon of evil and monstrousness.
