So, I want to use the hellspawn template as seen Here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Hellspawn_%283.5e_Template%29). Anyone know what book I can find it in?

It's found here (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Hellspawn_%283.5e_Template%29).

It is homebrew - that means it isn't from any book, just something that someone made up.

And made it up badly, if I might add. SR equal to HD, is that a joke?

according to the link that sofawall provided that SR = HD caps at 20, making it kinda weak

I thought that went without saying: it is on D&D Wiki, after all.

Not to mention that its CR adjustment is higher than its LA, for some reason.

The cap is not the point. Look at it this way. So you're ECL 2, let's say Barbarian lvl 1 and you have SR 1. And you're attacked by a Goblin Sorcerer lvl 2. How much does he need to roll to get past your SR? Nothing, because it will always be an automatic success.

Lets say you're Barbarian level 3, ECL 4, and a Goblin Sorcerer level 2 attacks you. How much does he need to roll to hit you with a spell? Also nothing. And you're 2 ECLs higher than him. Well technically, he needs to roll a 1 to hit you, but that's the minimum. So effectively, nothing.

There's a Hellbred race in Fiendish Codex II, if that helps. Fluffwise they're repentant but unredeemed souls who are reincarnated to give them a second chance at good karma, but crunchwise they do "hell-spawned" pretty well. (Aside from Favored Class: Paladin.) They're also LA +0.

Advice: Stay away from that Wiki. Most of it is poorly written/balanced homebrew that some random schmuck posted without ever even testing it.

50% of that wiki's "articles" are going to be homebrew, meaning most DMs won't allow it by default unless they posted it.

Takronix, just use fiendish or half-fiend. They are hell-spawn, and they work well.

Like Nate said, Hellbred are an awesome 'race' with no LA and awesome fluff. And look, if I might add.

And that's a Paladin.

Yeah, as soon as I posted it, my to-be DM told me it was homebrew simply from looking at the bottom of the page. I'm going to check out your guys' suggestions though, thanks!

Edit: So I've looked everywhere online that I could think of to find hellbred, and fiendish codex II is a hard thing to find torrent-wise. Anyone have a link or anything to help me out?
