Perhaps put more all-purpose and not-situational spell cards to rack up spell counters? Other popular magicians like Defender the Magical Warrior and Old Vindictive Magician might help as well. In addition, you don't seem to have a lot of ways to get Dark Magician in your hand, and no other drawing strategy in general. A recycling strategy would be good in case they manage to hit your magician with a Vortex or BTH.

You might take a page from my book and add Fires of Doomsday, since Dark Magician is a dark monster. Make sure to activate it during their end phase so you can tribute summon Dark Magician on your turn.

Also: Yes. I got very lucky. If you hadn't forfeited this turn then I would have been able to summon Plasma as well.

Well, I orginally had Royal Magical Lirbrary in, so I might add that back in.
So the general idea is:
-Switch out the two Sage's Stones for two Fires of Doomsday
-Switch out Cold Wave and add in a Royal Magical Lirbrary, take out a Skilled Dark Magician and replace him with a Lirbrary
-Switch out the two Ancient Rules for Swords of Revealing Light and another Fires of Doomsday
-Switch out two other things (possibly a Valkyria and a Dark Magician Girl) for two Defenders
-Maybe throw in Thousand Knives somewhere.

As soon as you summon Plasma, I activate Magical Dimesnsion (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Magical_Dimension). Tributing that Golem you gave me and summoning the one, the only DARK MAGICIAN! (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Magician) and then, my Dimension rids the field of that Plasma.
Grinder Golem is put into a small doll-like thing, that then has chains attached to it from every angle, the doll then opens and a huge burst of energy comes out, vapourising Plasma and leaving behind instead a Magician that every duelist recognizes.

((Good game. I think I'll improve my draw engine (add some Allures of Darkness), and change around my Destiny Heroes to include ones which can recycle my cards (Fear Monger, Captain Tenacious), as well as those that activate in the graveyard (Dasher and Malicious). I'd definately reccomend Allure and Captain Tenacious, Malicious could be good, but only if you also run Foolish Burial. I can't remember if you already have Giant Germ, but if you don't you should either run that or Nimble Momonga (Germ if you're going for Allure)
