Look, I know I have done a lot of posts of build requests, but this isn't the same. I just want a monster with innate spellcasting to a worthwhile level, a short monster class/low LA/limited HD and available as a PC-Friendly Race @ 18th level. I want to hopefully get Epic Spellcasting within very early epic (23 @ the latest).

Houserules:
No Spell Immunity, except for Rakshasa (up to 10 levels higher, then it goes up to half 11-15, 15 and above is 100% effectiveness)
No such thing as Psionics (Mind Flayers are the only psychics)
No ammo tally (mostly for bow & javeline)
Rule 0

Edit: any Evil PrC is now Non-Good

How low of hit dice and LA are you going for?

Ethergaunts, from the Fiend Folio, get about as much wizard casting as ECL.

Gloura (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031003e) cast as a Bard 7 with 7 HD and 2 LA. Throw in at least one level of bard and start Sublime Chord at 11.

Nymphs have impractical amounts of LA.

to the point where I can at least get some PrC love

Edit: White Ethergaunt seems worthwhile. I'll have to run it by my DM. Can some1 give me the "White Ethergaunt as a Race" bonuses???

MM2 has the sylth, ECL8, casts as sorc7, can advance by outsider HD (which in turn improves spellcasting). Or go abjurant champion/eldritch knight.

so far, this sounds complicated

In what sense?

It's not complicated. Start as a Sylph. You can only progress your Sorcerer casting with prestige classes and "levels of Sylph", IE Outsider hit-dice.

White Ethergaunts as a race should be easy enough to reverse engineer...

DC for things would be 15 + Cha; you check out the individual powers (can't reprint them in whole here); you'd get your free melee weapon as a bonus feat; +3/+3/+7 base saves; +8 BAB; I forget aberration skill points per die (check MM); casting as a 13th level wizard; +6 Dex, +4 Con, +16 Int, +4 Wis, +2 Cha and most importantly +2 Str. Also a nice +10 natural armor.

You'd lose 3 levels of wizard casting compared to a human but that's not too bad compared to a lot of race. The int bonus translates to a +7 to the DC of SoD (compared to Grey Elf) which can be fairly nice especially if you focus on them. The real loss is in PrC class features and those three casting levels, the 5 HD... is a small penalty to saves (made up for by stat bonuses), and skill point max ranks + feats.

To Glimbur: Your options are the two I like best. White Specifically, because red is too weak and black is too epic :P

to Zaydos: TY SOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!! :) I swear I'll get you a box of cookies
