I've been having this sort of half-baked idea for an OOTS-style comic based on the free web MMO Kingdom of Loathing.
I've got a basic plot outlined. The Naughty Sorceress kidnaps the King of Loathing as usual, but this time, she kidnaps the Council of Loathing as well, leaving the heroes directionless. Hilarity ensues as they try to follow their usual quest path without the guidance of the Council.
The bad guy of the story is the Naughty Sorceress, as usual, but this time, she has a powerful underling, a lihc (not a typo) named Querzog. (It used to be Querxog, but then the cemetery he lived in became the Misspelled Cemetary, turning him from a lich to a lihc and misspelling his name.)
So far I've done an OOTS-ified Naughty Sorceress.
