Because I would much rather my shadows had weapon finesse and empowered ability damage as there feats.

Is this do-able or justifiable in anyway?

Unless those are bonus feats, you are free to replace with other feats you think suit them better. I do it all the time, such as giving dire bats weapon finesse and improved natural attack to improve their damage and attack rating.

They're your undead. Bamf the hell out of them if you want, but optimized monsters are going to kill your party faster, obviously.

I do stuff like that all the time.

I do stuff like that all the time.I think the OP is a player, not the DM. Of course I do have an unhealthy obsession with the Dread Necromancer, so...

Yes, sorry, I should have clarified.

As a necromancer of sorts, can you customize your own undeads feats in anyway?

So far there is Embrace and Shun the Dark Chaos spells(FF).

Anything else? can you simply pick them if you are the one who is creating the undead in question, is that justified?
