I figure this could either be an interesting social experiment or a disaster, let's find out which. Basically you just list the clothes you wore today, while others voice their opinion on your dress sense, I'll start...

Red/white Air Speed skate shoes
Black Billabong skinnies
Black belt w/ batman buckle
Black Gorillaz t-shirt
Cyan/black New Look shirt
Grey/Black Shemagh
Black New Look long coat
Green vans shoulder bag

Your turn, it might be interesting. :smallamused:

Yeah ok... TBH I think you spend too much money on your clothes to get that look... Not that you can get the same effect for less, but I could never be bothered with dressing up for non-special occasions anyway.

EDIT: GAH! Bloody ninjas.

Me:
Generic Beige Kneelength Shorts (Loose with jean-like structure)
A plain navy-blue teeshirt
White Sports Socks
Brown Columbia Hiking shoes.

also:
Summer PJ pants with pictures of Mr Grumpy

Home clothes - comfortable black pants, oversized black t-shirt, black socks

This is what I normally wear and when I go somewhere nice (rarely) I wear something nice and black...

USMC Woodland BDUs, work boots, and a blue/white plaid bathrobe. What can I say, I'm unorthodox. BDUs are the best things for working in, anyway. Don't stain (that you can see, anyway), don't rip unless you're using a knife, and are warm in winter with the addition of long underwear/cool in summer with just boxers.

I tried on the chainmail I'm working on a few times for sizing, if that counts.

Battle Dress Uniform. What soldiers wore into combat before the development of the ACU, which is what the Army has been using for the past couple years. Camo-patterned. Tons of 'em on the surplus market. Great to work in.

Not to mention they're a good sight better than the ABUs.

Well, today I had to work, so I wore a khaki ball-cap, white polo shirt over a black (Def Leppard 2006 tour) t-shirt, levi khaki cargo pants, and a pair of Bates 9" black side-zip boots.

When I don't work, it's a hat, unbuttoned longsleeve shirt or jacket (probably with the sleeves rolled halfway up my forearms), solid-color undershirt, jeans, and the same boots. If I'm wearing shorts, the shirt is short-sleeve, and I'm wearing my hiking shoes.

Today I haven't left the house because I can for the first time in weeks and I don't think "old shorts and an old t-shirt" qualifies, so I'll describe yesterday:

- light brown mocassins
- black Armani Exchange (AX) faded/ripped jeans
- plain black AX muscle t-shirt
- cheap grey cardigan hoodie (imagine an emo.. yeah, one of those). Works surprisingly well and not-emo with the rest of the outfit.
- socks and underwear, obviously.

I wear a lot of blue (I've been adding some brown recently though). More or less what my avatar has, in fact;

Blue jeans (baggy or standard) with a brown leather belt.
Brown trainers (Vans, as they're one of the few brands that fit my feet) and grey sports socks (I pace a lot while I'm thinking so thinner socks tend to wear out on me)
A t-shirt (the one I wore today was navy, with the caffeine molecule printed on the front in green).
Olive green cotton jacket (the brand's called "soviet", IIRC)
Dark blue bodywarmer.
Watch (steel finish)
Sports Sunglasses (with a strap, I wear them as an alternative to a headband, with the strap hidden under my hair) or a headband. I switched half way through the day (I don't normally wear them, but I was snowed in through the winter so my hair's a bit longer than usual).

Burgundy underpants, with lime green trimming.

That is all.

(It's hot here in Melbourne, okay? When I go for my afternoon walk, I'll be putting on blue jeans, my cranberry NaNoWriMo top and possibly my Evil Jacket. Depends how I feel.)

(Oh, and thongs (footwear.))

Same as usual, a hawaiian shirt unbuttoned over a normal shirt (for a given definition of 'normal'. Today's has a black sillowet of a llama with the caption 'llama'), shorts (todays are red), thongs (flip flops or whatever you foreigners want to call them), and a hat (todays is a fez).

I wore clothes today! :smalltongue: So, since it finally stopped raining, I decided to start spring early.

My outfit consisted of:
-Dark blue skinny jeans
-An empire waisted, spaghetti strapped top from Charlotte Russe with a pretty floralish pattern of tan, purple (or maybe it's more like indigo) and fuchsia (I really think a picture is need to describe that one properly) with a purple camisole underneath.
-Cream colored cardigan
-Deep blue metallic strappy sandals.

That sounds like it doesn't match, but it looks better than it seems. :smalltongue:

Today: black sweatshirt and black sweatpants, light blue terry slippers.

This evening when I went out to get some dinner:

old black cotton casual slacks
black socks
tan slip on flat shoes
black cotton ribbed turtleneck
red/black marled cardigan sweater with ribbed collar and brown buttons that look like antler tips (or nalbinding needles)
black fake sheepskin short coat
red/black/white plaid fleece scarf
black wool gloves
red cable knit hat with ear flaps and a pom pom on top (I look silly in hats, so I go ahead and wear silly hats :smallwink:. Besides, it's warm.

Work (at least in winter) is usually nicer slacks and a ribbed turtleneck. I have lots in different colors. Usually with a simple necklace. I have a wonderful griffon pendant I wear a lot, also some glass beads and some amber.

What can I say? I like black, but usually accented with red or purple.

BDU = Battle Dress Uniform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Dress_Uniform) I wear the woodland design.

I wear them to work because I'm in the US Air Force.

I thought the new uniform would be mandatory by now. It was in the Army at least a good year and a half ago.

heh, it's not mandatory yet in the Air Force. There are still a few of us left in the Squadron that haven't changed over. One is a guy who is going to retire this year, so he'll never buy the ABUs. The airmen that do have them, say the ABUs are comfortable and they are wash and wear and don't require starching and ironing.

One of my drills in basic described the ACU as "comfy pajamas". I liked the low maintenance part of the uniform. The over reliance on velcro and the fact that they wore out so fast, not so much.

Woo hoo! I was drowning in the skinny jeans!

What's the point in wearing knee high socks if you're wearing trousers?

No. Nononono.
There are trousers, which are leg coverings that one would wear with a suit or to an otherwise classy place.
There are pants, which are like trousers, only casual. Cargo pants are in this category, as are chinos.
Then there are jeans, which are scum.

Khaki cargo pants, white socks, white New Balance 407's (size 12 wide), black belt (looks like small leather strips woven together), black company polo-shirt (tucked in, logo on left breast), Glasses.

On any other day-insert a change of shirt for t-shirt when not at work, and other colored polo's when at work. Always cargo pants, or cargo shorts (all legwear are shades of khacki).

T-shirts are usually dark colored with some sort of nonsense design, and a single dark green mountain-dew logo shirt.
