Where is Talos?

As long as we're on the subject of Talos, how do you folks feel about the change they made to him in the 4th edition setting? Talos is now part of Gruumsh. He was an orc all along!

I can actually see that one making sense, so it doesn't bother me. Some of the other 4E changes do, but I'm fine with Talos being orky.

A means of destroying evil artifacts by feeding them to the "Triple Iron Golem" is also mentioned in the Book of Exalted Deeds.

Clearly a "triple iron golem" is actually a very powerful drink, in a glass large enough that you can put an artifact into it to be dissolved.

And just because it doesn't eat doesn't mean it can't have a mouth and swallow objects.

@V: Iron Golems have a poisonous breath weapon that deals a bunch of Con damage. This implies that they have an internal poison reservoir connected to their mouths. I see no reason why said poison couldn't be acidic.

True, but it wouldn't have stomach acid, so the evil artifact would just sit there inside it. That's not really destryoing it so much as locking it up.

It could just chew. I can't imagine most artifacts working after a few chomps.
