hey mates,
i've been looking over some old characters (mine and some of my players from bygone times) and i noticed a really cool one that got me thinking. its a rogue/assassin/black dragon disciple, very fun char. so i'm wondering, what non typical classes can you think of that allow advancement in dragon disciple (by which i mean, NOT sorcerer or bard)

Sorcerer-> Dragon Disciple is a VERY odd combo.

True. Barbarian/Sorc/Dragon Disciple, or Fighter/Sorc/Dragon Disciple, or similar, is more traditional... despite not being the probable intent of the class.

There's also Paladin/Sorc/Dragon Disciple, to take advantage of the Charisma synergy...

There is a regional feat which gives you the ability to cast cantrips, allowing you to enter DD without having to take a lv in bard or sorc, though this essentially means the extra slots are "wasted".

I suppose that in theory, a wizard with the ability to cast spells spontaneously (eg: spontaneous spell or spont div variant) could qualify as well.
