I didn't know what forum to post this in, but I figured here was a good bet.
I am having some difficulty getting Steam to work on my notebook. I have tried reinstalling several times, and have double-checked my internet connection speed (avg. 55mb/s), but I still cannot get it to work properly. When it starts automatically after install, it displays an error page, saying either I have no net connection or I have "misspelled the URL" (which is wierd since Steam navigates).
Fiddling with the settings have found no success.
